Sakshi Sindwani has gone a long way from beginning a YouTube channel to follow her passion for fashion to being a body-positive model and influencer. She has been an inspiration for people of all shapes and sizes to pursue their dreams, irrespective of the stigma created by the society. She encourages us to love the body we’re in and to flaunt it like no other.
Sakshi has a long list of accomplishments, including walking the runway in a bathing suit and being featured on the cover of Harper Bazaar, but let’s start with how it all began, shall we?
Her academic path began with a desire to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Science, but she quickly realised that she did not want to have a 9-5 job, so she dropped out. Given her keen sense of style, she decided to pursue a career in fashion and quickly launched a YouTube channel, drawing inspiration from a variety of fashion icons.
When the public discovered her page, they reacted positively since some of them were relieved to have finally found a relatable body type to emulate. As a result, her experience began to inspire others.
She now has over 4 lakh Instagram followers and provides content centred on all things related to fashion and beauty. It’s very pleasant to see her smile and put her wonderful energy into every video she makes. Her most trending video as of today is titled, “13 Outfits 13 Seconds”.
When asked how she feels about the fashion business becoming more inclusive of various body shapes, she said it is a slow process that is developing. She also recognises that in the industry, people still want slim body types, and that not everyone is naturally inclusive.
The Cosmopolitan Blogger Awards has honoured her with the title of “Body Positivity Icon-2021”.
We wish Sakshi the best of luck in her future endeavours, and cannot wait to see her win more goals. Will you take inspiration from her fashion journey and content until my pen writes more for you?
