The world of social media is dominated by content creators today. They have revolutionised the way viewers consume content and interact with brands online. Businesses and brands now depend upon the impact of creators/influencers to reach their target markets. Their presence at every event is inevitable which only goes to show the power they hold. From being social media stars to crossing newer career milestones, content creators have definitely come a long way. The creator economy is only booming.
“From The Creator-Verse” is Social Nation‘s weekly round-up of everything that’s happening within the ‘Creator industry’.
Our MostlySane is in New York City as an India Representative at The Climate Week 2024. She has been attending and participating in a series of high-profile events, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops. Prajakta shared her vision for a youth-led climate revolution while inspiring others to join the cause and forging partnerships with key stakeholders. She was also a speaker at the SDG panel at UN Headquarters discussing media influence and sustainable development.
This was definitely a collab we didn’t know we needed. Ankush Bahuguna and Nicole Concessao already set the anticipation high with their teaser. But our jaws dropped when we saw the full video! The choreography, the moves, the outfits, the set, the style – everything was on FIRE! Nicole is of course amazing, but Ankush really impressed with his moves! Creators and netizens alike are loving both of them in this video.
PUMA India decided to celebrate its birthday by throwing a bash. But, they did not invite Orry and he did not take it well. Orry announced he would be crashing PUMA’s bash because there’s no party without him. He booked a double-decker bus (with his face on it) and invited his followers to join his party around the city – calling it #OrryKiLorry! We spotted creators like Bigg Nerds, Taneesha Mirwani, and Kothari, amongst others. PUMA’s black cat and Orry finally sorted their beef too.
Garnier India launched their range of Super UV Invisible sunscreens in two variants: as a serum and an air mist sunscreen. They held a spectacular and engaging launch event while hosting many creators. We spotted Tarini Shah, Agasthya Shah, Zaid Darbar, Meghna Kaur a.k.a. Shetroublemaker, and Aastha Shah, amongst others. They tried both products, did the Tonic test, and learned about the Harmful UV rays & benefits of the sunscreens while getting their custom bottles!
W.i.S.H. created the official ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 song called ‘Whatever It Takes.’ Agasthya Shah got them to answer a series of interesting questions based on the song title itself. He gave them situations like “Would you rather do ‘Whatever It Takes’ to attend a Diljit concert or Prateek Kuhad concert?” and the girls picked their choices.
Dhruv had announced in July that Baby Rathee would be coming in September. And four days ago, he and his wife Juli welcomed a baby boy into their lives and this world. He shared images of him holding his son and another where the baby is asleep. Baby Rathee is adorable!
With Taaza Khabar Season 2 premiering on September 27 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on October 3, creators teamed up with Bhuvan Bam a.k.a Vasya to promote both. Sameeksha Takke asks Vasya to use his Vardaan for various situations resulting in her quitting her job. Agu Stanley a.k.a istanboss can’t handle the suspense of not knowing who will win the Women’s T20 WC and pushes Vasya to use his Bhavishyawaani powers. Nisman fully girl crushed over Bhuvan when she saw him and narrated a highly exaggerated story to her friends later.
Huda Beauty recently launched its new base makeup range with the Easy Blur primer, Easy Blur Foundation, and Easy Bake loose powder on Nykaa and hosted a grand event for it. We spotted numerous beauty creators and makeup enthusiasts at the Mumbai and Delhi launch events who learned the EASY routine. Aashna Hegde, Prableen Kaur Bhomrah, Devishi Madaan, Rhea Gurnani, Sheena, Anmol Dua, Aashi Adani, Shantanu Dhope, Jhanvi Bhatia, and many more attended.
Jhanvi visited the Google office for a Creator Collective Session by YouTube. There were 30 creators and YouTubers in attendance who learned how to grow on the platform and use it better over 3 insightful sessions. They savoured the delicious lunch spread, added stickers to their bags, witnessed a live performance by Lisa Mishra, and created fun content with YouTube.
