In the midst of the worldwide confusion and uncertainty caused by Covid-19, social media and other digital platforms have gained a foothold. There has been an alarming number of cases in Mumbai and other parts of India. We are experiencing a shortage of treatment services in hospitals. Owing to the life-or-death condition that the planet is in, it is disturbing and causes anxiety, stress, and other mental health issues.
There’s no denying that content creators and celebrities have a leg up on the competition when it comes to the amount of people who follow them on social media. They have a greater impact on the younger generation than on any other. To their credit, we’ve seen some of them use this platform to raise awareness, request plasma donations, and help intensify the urgent need.
Creators such as Srishti Dixit, Kusha Kapila, Ritvi, etc. have posted different types of videos, images, and stories, to ask everyone to stay home, to take care, donate plasma and provided them (the audience) with links to the available Covid resources to help people access them and get well.
