An update on artists and an appreciation for their creation goes long way. To celebrate them and bring on new updates, Spotify held its second Stream On event, where it debuted the tools to make Spotify the Best Home for Creators as they help grow catalogs, audiences, and revenue. Earlier this month, it released Sonic Science Volume 2- first-of-its-kind biometric research studying hundreds of participants while they listened to audio to measure their physical response to the medium.
This event was a big highlight for all the podcast creators who have been creating content and releasing it over the platform. The content creator and podcaster Leeza Mangaldas was the only one who was at the event from India. Leeza’s Sex Podcast has won many awards and has got recognition too.
Leeza Mangaldas’s ‘The Sex Podcast’ which is a podcast produced by Podone is a comprehensive series on sex education that has been carefully compiled by her with the views of sexuality, gender, identity, gender biases on pleasure, introspection, love, consent, communication, and many other topics in mind.
The goal of Leeza is to respond honestly, objectively, and truthfully to the most frequent questions regarding sex. The discussion emphasizes inclusion and localization to make it accessible to the great majority of people.

I spoke to Leeza about her experience and what new the platform has for upcoming stars and here’s what she shared.
How was the StreamOn event? What was completely new and exciting for you?
It was an amazing massive event that Spotify sent me to attend it. It was an amazing experience. They made announcements about their future and evolution and I got to catch all the action live. I met Spotify’s founder and CEO Daniel Ek and saw people like the Jonas brothers, Alex Cooper and more speak about the future of the industry. I also saw Rita Ora perform live and that was just enriching because normally I am just sitting in my room and listening
I also attended workshops where tips and tricks and experiences for podcasts and music creation were shared by the best. I got to experience Spotify’s fantastic LA headquarters.
What is the best update coming to Spotify podcast for podcasters, according to you?
The best announcement that I was excited about was that Spotify is prioritizing creators and discovering abilities that will give creators more chances to get discovered by new audiences altogether.
The whole layout is changing and it will allow creators to engage with their audiences via polls and more modes.
“Stream On is about all the ways we are bringing Spotify to life and letting creators at all stages of their careers know that we are open for business. We are focused on building the best home for them – a place where they can establish a career, thrive and grow and where the world can be inspired by their creativity. And that’s what we’ve been doing for almost 17 years: building, improving and reimagining this home to better meet creator needs and help them chart new pathways to success. As we look to the future, we are excited to expand that ambition to even more creators across new formats. We’re enabling more creativity, discovery and personalization than ever before by providing the best resources, support, and interactivity.”, shared Spotify’s founder Daniel Ek.
The new Spotify for Podcasters launched with new tools geared towards driving listener interactivity and audience discovery. Megaphone publishers can leverage Spotify for Podcasters to:
- Gather instant feedback and inform future content via Q&As.
- Build community with listeners through polls.
- Delve into show-level stats like episode demographics to help build your audience.
- A new discovery feed on Search will allow users to access clips and visuals to help make finding new podcasts easier.
- Creators can also choose to have Spotify automatically generate previews of their podcasts for users to sample before they play or save.
“Sometimes, I am just sitting in my room and listening and talking into my phone and this one experience has really changed me as it made me feel, there’s a whole world out there! The whole experience was enlightening as I met creators from all over the world. People are doing such interesting and creative things. Seeing the world-class recording facilities has given me new goals.”, added Leeza.
There are many platforms that give chances to people for podcasts and one of the best ones is Podon which helps Youtubers, Creators & Influencers to curate their video content into an audio-friendly format thus helping to build a community at platforms like Spotify, Amazon, Audibles, etc. You can hear Leeza’s podcast online on Spotify.
