Chup: Revenge of the artist

R. Balki is the writer and director of the 2022 Indian Hindi-language murder thriller film Chup: Revenge of the Artist.

The protagonist of the movie is Suresh, a loner who discovers Shanti one night and decides to cast her as the lead. In an ironic turn of events, Shanti rises to fame while Suresh is forced to leave the top tiers of the film industry.

It is now streaming on Zee5.

Khakee: The Bihar Chapter

Neeraj Pandey is the creator and writer of the Indian crime-drama streaming television series The Bihar Chapter. In Bihar, a good policeman is engaged in a moral struggle that is fraught with corruption as he pursues a vicious criminal. It stars Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwary, Abhimanyu Singh, Jatin Sarna, Ravi Kishan, Ashutosh Rana, Nikita Dutta, Aishwarya Sushmita, Anup Soni, and Bharat Jha.

It is now streaming on Netflix.

Kantara

The action drama film Kantara is set in 2022 and is made in the Indian Kannada language by Rishab Shetty, Vijay Kiragandur, and Hombale Films. Shetty plays a Kambala champion who is at odds with Murali, an honorable DRFO officer, in the movie.

It is now available on Prime Video.

Padavettu

Liju Krishna wrote and directed the 2022 Indian political action thriller movie Padavettu in the Malayalam language. It was made by Sunny Wayne Productions in collaboration with Yoodlee Films. A party deceives a traumatized man by using his name and that of his family as a gift to the party. The man is stuck in life and finds peace by being sluggish. It infuriates him, and the villagers’ repeated jeers about his inaction enrage him.

It is now streaming on Netflix.

Ponniyin Selvan: I

Ponniyin Selvan: I, also known as The Son of Ponni, is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language epic historical action drama film that was written by Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan and was directed by Mani Ratnam.

To deliver a message from the crown prince Aditha Karikalan, Vandiyathevan sets out to traverse the Chola territory. While vassals and minor chieftains plot to overthrow the throne, Kundavai tries to bring about political peace.

It is now streaming on Prime Video.
