So far we have got insights into the personal & professional lives of various creators which include, Dhiraj Sanap, Yashashree Rao, Shreya Gupto, Kareema Barry & more. Next up, we have a multi-skilled creator who can ace multiple characters at once, Sakshi Keswani, lovably known as @_beingsuku_!

Sakshi Keswani IRL

Sakshi Keswani describes herself as someone who is quite similar to her characters, especially in terms of relatability. She creates content based on what she genuinely feels, which is why her characters are often 90% like her, such as Sukkoo. The differences between her and her characters stem from her inspirations, but at the core, she portrays herself in her content.

She mentions “I often find that my sketches reflect my real-life interactions, and sometimes, I even incorporate people close to me into my content. I’ve always known that I wanted to do something big, something that sets me apart from others. That desire to stand out and have my own voice eventually led me to content creation and acting.”

It wasn’t something I planned from the start, but my passion for doing things differently shaped my journey along the way,” she added.

Turning Passion Into Profession, Goals!

From childhood, she aspired to do something amazing and refused to follow the usual path. This determination was further backed by her father, to whom she expressed her wish not to be just a “daddy’s princess” but to support him in his old age. Despite her unconventional choices, Sakshi was always motivated to carve her own way.

Since childhood, I’ve always loved attention. Whether it was through participating in extracurricular activities like dance or fashion shows, I found joy in expressing myself and standing out. This passion for being in the spotlight naturally led me to content creation. Now, I’m auditioning for different projects and working on some really exciting things for the future,” she added.

Insights Into Her Collaborations With Dhiraj Sapan

We absolutely love her sketches and collaboration with creators like Dheeraj, Ronit, and Omkar among others. However, she frequently creates content with Dheeraj, and we were curious to know the behind-the-scenes process (we know you were too). So we asked a few questions: What is your and Dheeraj’s approach to content creation? How do you both come up with ideas? Who decides what, and how does the shooting process work?

Suku explained, “With most of the people, I handle the process—scriptwriting, costume planning, and giving directions to the videographer. It’s all structured and planned like a proper shoot. But with Dheeraj, it’s much more relaxed. I’ll say, “I have an idea,” or he’ll share one, and we just go with the flow. It’s random and spontaneous, which only happens when I collaborate with him.”

When I first moved to Mumbai for content creation, Dheeraj was the first person I collaborated with. I remember the video going viral!

He messaged me out of the blue, saying, “Oh, you’re from Mumbai?” At that time, I had around 50K followers, and Dheeraj had around 90K. I thought, “Wow, someone with more followers messaged me, I should respond!” We met up, and created content, and since then, our collaboration has been effortless,” she added.

Authenticity Goes A Long Way!

On maintaining authenticity while creating branded content, she explains, “When a brand approaches me, it’s because they like something about me. So I try to sell them on the idea that they trusted me, and I will ensure their product reaches the audience. We meet in the middle after a conversation. Some brands are strict about promotions, and I can’t guarantee views, but most of the time, 90%, of them listen and we find common ground. It works because they trust me, and I can convince them with my skills.”

Story Behind “Being Suku”

Further in the conversation with Suku, we came across the story behind ‘Being Suku.’ “Initially, I didn’t want to be a funny content creator, even though I knew I could do it. But my love for fashion and creativity kept pushing me. Now, I have a team, resources, and bigger dreams to showcase what I truly want to do,” Suku expressed.

Being keen about her love of fashion, she recalled her time walking the ramp for ‘Bombay Times Fashion Week 2024.’ She shares, “Walking the ramp was always a dream. Even though I didn’t have the ‘model’ height, I used to be selected as the showstopper in my school and college because I was good at it. When I walked the ramp this time, my heart wasn’t racing with nerves; I felt like I was meant to do this.”

Suku’s Passion For Acting

Moving forward we felt like there was more to fashion projects for her and she said, “Another item on the bucket list is acting!” Further, we asked about her dream role, and she immediately said, “Laila! I want to be Laila. I am so obsessed with the character. The movie was beautiful and full of romance, and I want to play something like that.

When asked who she’d want to play Majnu, she expressed, “I manifest Avinash Tiwary for the role alongside me. But seriously, I’m going through a phase where I can’t stop thinking about that movie. I’ve already watched it three times and wonder why I hadn’t seen it earlier—it has made me realize that the path I’m on is the perfect one for me. I’m manifesting working with him soon!

Manifestation Is A Key To Success?

Honestly, I’m manifesting more great work & really focusing on it passionately. I’ve realized I’m quite stubborn, and if I want something, I’ll make it happen. The best advice I can give to my audience is that you don’t have to be the smartest person in the room, but you can be the hardest-working one. Hard work will set you apart and help you stand out. Keep working, keep manifesting, keep believing in yourself—the world is yours,” Suku concluded.
