The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 concluded with Team XSpark claiming victory. Over three days of intense battles at HITEX, Hyderabad, they outperformed their main rival, Global Esports. Team XSpark secured a substantial portion of the prize pool, winning a staggering ₹60 lakhs.
Led by the popular gamer and streamer Tanmay ‘ScoutOP’ Singh, Team XSpark is a prominent esports team in the Indian Gaming Community, including members Shubham Ranjan Sahoo, Saranga Deka, Tenzin Kelsang, and Harsh Malik. The team has gained significant popularity and a loyal fan base. They have been actively participating in competitive gaming events, particularly in games like BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India).
While Team XSpark successfully took the trophy and cash prize home, Global Esports was also outstanding, emerging as a runner-up and securing ₹30 lakhs in prize money. The Mavi-led squad showcased their skills with 134 points. NinjaBoi from their team earned the most finished prize of ₹1 lakh and was awarded the MVP title worth ₹2.5 lakh.

Global Esports secured second place with ₹30,00,000, and Reckoning Esports took third with ₹20,00,000. Fourth place went to MortaL’s Team Soul, winning ₹15,00,000, followed by Venom Gaming in fifth with ₹12,50,000.
Limra Esports finished sixth, earning ₹10,00,000, while Team 8Bit and Team Tamilas secured seventh and eighth places, winning ₹9,00,000 and ₹8,00,000 respectively. Raven Esports and FS Esports tied for ninth and tenth, each taking home ₹6,00,000.
Team Insane and Team Aau shared the eleventh spot, both receiving ₹4,00,000. Vasista Esports, MOGO, Carnival Gaming, and Inferno Squad rounded out the top sixteen, each earning ₹2,50,000.
Apart from team runner-ups, there were additional awards presented: Most Valuable Player went to NinjaBoi, earning ₹2,50,000; Most Finishes also claimed by Global Esports star NinjaBoi, receiving ₹1,00,000; the Lone Survivor award was secured by Robin from MOGO Esports, winning ₹1,00,000; and for achieving the highest Rampage count, NinjaBoi once again took home ₹1,00,000.
In an interview, Team XSpark shared their mentality going into the final match, emphasizing their determination to maintain their momentum and secure the trophy no matter what. Further, Scout chimed in, highlighting that this victory wasn’t an overnight thing but the result of years of hard work and dedication. He also mentioned that it wasn’t just about winning the trophy but also about earning the love and support of the audience in these competitions.
Furthermore, when it came to international tournaments, Scout announced that the team is all set and just needs a month’s buffer time to understand the tactics and types of competitions that might occur in different regions.
