Meet Arun Yogiraj, the artist who sculpted the Ram Lalla idol, capturing the hearts of devotees with his talent and craftsmanship.
Based out of Mysore, he is the sculptor behind Ram Lalla's idol and comes from a family with five generations of sculptors.
Initially, he pursued a master's degree in business administration and worked in the corporate sector, but in 2008, he shifted to be a full-time sculptor.
His portfolio includes a 30-foot statue of Subhash Chandra Bose, a 12-foot statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath, and more.
His creations range from a 15-foot monolithic white marble statue of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar to modern art stone sculptures, idols of Garuda and more.
He has also received recognition from PM Narendra Modi for his work, including the gift of a miniature two-foot tall statue of Bose.
After being recognised by Prime Minister, his work extends to various temples, featuring sculptures of Panchamukhi Ganapathi, MahaVishnu, Buddha, Nandi & more.
His grandfather, Basavanna Shilpi, received philantrophy from the King of Mysore, adding a royal connection to his family's legacy.
Upon reaching the Ram temple in Ayodhya, he expressed his gratitude, feeling incredibly lucky and acknowledging blessings from Ram Lalla.
