K-pop idol Jisoo is making an official return as an actress, transitioning smoothly into drama roles.
Kim Ji-soo, known mononymously as Jisoo, is a well-known K-pop singer and actress.
She is the lead vocalist and one of the oldest members of the iconic K-pop band BLACKPINK.
In mid-2023, Jisoo dated K-drama star Ahn Bo-hyun. However, in October, they confirmed their split due to differences.
She is known to be the wealthiest member of her band, being a brand ambassador for luxury brands like Dior & Cartier.
She was recently seen filming scenes for the zombie K-drama "Influenza" after agreeing to be on the show in August 2023.
Fans were thrilled to see her back on set, recalling her previous roles in dramas like "Snowdrop" and cameo appearances in films.
"Influenza" is based on Han Sang Woon's novel, featuring a Seoul-based defence unit dealing with zombies.
According to reports, she manages individual projects through her brother's company, Blissoo, as they enter the entertainment industry.
All BLACKPINK members won't renew solo contracts with YG Entertainment. They'll pursue individual projects while still being active as a group.
The firm's executive producer is excited to keep collaborating with BLACKPINK and support their future international music projects.
