It is characterized by redness, itching, tearing or sticky discharge and a gritty sensation in the eyes.
It's happening due to sudden rain showers, flooding, contaminated water, and increased moisture in the air.
If infected, don't touch your eyes with your hands and wash your hands throughly and frequently.
Avoid taking public transport and dont share articles of clothing or towels with others.
Discard eye cosmetics (such as mascara and eyeliner) and use protective eyewear such as sunglasses.
Ophthalmologists or healthcare professionals may prescribe eye drops or ointments to alleviate symptoms.
