3 Reasons Why We Think Indian Police Force Failed To Impress Netizens

The much-anticipated web series, Indian Police Force, directed by ace Bollywood filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, has recently made its debut on Amazon Prime Video. Despite boasting an impressive cast, including Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Vivek Anand Oberoi, the series seems to have fallen short of audience expectations. As netizens express their dissatisfaction with the show, let’s explore significant reasons why we and netizens are not impressed with Rohit Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra’s debut OTT performance.

Cast and Crew

Directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, the series features Sidharth Malhotra as the principal protagonist, portraying the A1 cop Kabir Malik, a Delhi Police Officer. Shilpa Shetty Kundra takes on the role of Tara Shetty, the Gujarat ATS chief, while Vivek Anand Oberoi portrays Vikram Bakshi, Kabir’s superior in the force. 

With an ensemble cast that also includes Mayyank Tandon, Vaidehi Parshurami, Isha Talwar, Shweta Tiwari, and Mukesh Rishi, the Indian Police Force aimed to bring together seasoned actors for a gripping action thriller.

Despite Rohit Shetty’s expertise in action and Bollywood A-listers portraying the different roles, the web series has failed to impress the netizens who have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction towards the newest addition to the OTT action universe. Weak Storytelling and Screenplay

One consistent criticism from viewers revolves around the series’ lacklustre storytelling and poor screenplay. Netizens have highlighted the absence of a compelling narrative. Tried and tested recipes from previous Bollywood films and series have been taken and presented to the audience, making the series very predictable and boring. A well-crafted plot and engaging screenplay are essential for any series to captivate the audience, and it seems the Indian Police Force failed to deliver these crucial elements. 

Subpar Acting Performances

Another major gripe voiced by netizens we agree extensively with is the subpar acting across the series. Viewers have criticised the cast for lack of intensity, poor dialogue delivery, and overall disinterested performances from popular Bollywood names such as Sidharth Malhotra who has previously portrayed cop and army roles with much more conviction. Despite the star power of other actors Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Anand Oberoi, the series fails to showcase their talents effectively, leaving audiences underwhelmed and questioning the casting choices.
