5 Lessons to learn from Devi #NeverHaveIEver!

Fancy a light-comedy-teenager-drama show? Well, then this is something that you might’ve watched already. We’re talking about the major hit Netflix drama show- #NeverHaveIEver!

Never Have I Ever is an American coming-of-age comedy-drama television series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. Though it takes place in the San Fernando Valley, the show is loosely based on Kaling’s childhood experiences in the Boston area.

The main character Devi is an interesting combination of all things crazy! She doesn’t just entertain you with her “Teenangst” dilemma but we also learn and unlearn certain things along with her.

Here’s what we can relate with Devi from #NeverHaveIEver!

Be sure of what you want!

Devi has been a person who was shown as a confused coming-of-age girl from the start of season 1. A lesson from this would definitely be that be sure of what you want and then go get it.

Decide what you want and then go get it. Go Girl!

Have a background voice in your head that leads you? Let it!

Have a voice like John McEnroe headed voice that never leaves you? Let it stay. Sometimes, the right voice guiding you is your own voice.

It’s all about hearing your intuition. Don’t ignore that gut feeling of yours. It just knows.

Don’t let your past overpower your present

Her strongest relationship in the whole series has been with her dad. While he was her biggest strength, it turns out that missing him makes her weak.

So if there’s something that makes you weak, you should work on it and make it your strength.

Keep your friendships first.

Because they are the ones you’ll go to talk about that date you decided to go on. They are the ones who’ll take care of you when needed. They’re the ones who will always be with you and will have your back if they’re the right ones. Hahaha! But really, your girl gang/ guy gang is what’s always going to be there so don’t keep them hanging over a guy or a girl.

Balance is what will get you through!

While Devi is someone who keeps messing up her life, she’s also the one who makes sure that nothing affects her focus on her goals in life.

If you want a light watch, this is your show to go to!
