Luck seems to be running awry for YouTuber and one of the most popular social media personalities Elvish Yadav. In March 2024, Elvish confessed his involvement in arranging snakes and snake venom at rave parties. He was arrested by the Noida Police back then, and released on bail later.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a money laundering case against the YouTuber and some others under the charge of suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug in parties he allegedly hosted. This development comes after an FIR and 1200-page chargesheet was filed by Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) district police last month.
ED’s Charges
The charges included snake trafficking, use of psychotropic substances and organising rave parties. The ED is investigating the alleged generation of proceeds of crime and the use of illicit funds for organising rave or recreational parties
The case has been registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). According to media reports, the 26-year-old YouTuber was booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

What Transpired So Far
On November 3 last year, an FIR was lodged at Noida’s Sector 49 Police Station after a complaint was raised by an animal rights activist who named 5 more people in (PFA) apart from Elvish Yadav. The Bigg Boss winner and some others linked to the case will be questioned as part of the investigation, the sources said.
All of the other five accused in the case were snake charmers who were arrested in November and were let out on bail by a local court later. The police seized nine snakes, including five cobras from their possession along with 20 ml of suspected snake venom.
The probe agency will soon investigate the alleged financial transactions associated with the supply of snake venom at various locations including big hotels, clubs, resorts, and farmhouses in Delhi-NCR. Elvish will be questioned by the ED in the coming days.
