I think it’s safe to assume that the Internet is thankful for Netflix India‘s series Fabulous Lives Vs. Bollywood Wives because it introduced them to the magnanimous Shalini Passi! Even ‘iconic‘ is an understatement for this art collector, philanthropist and OTT sensation. The show was largely centred around the age-old Mumbai Vs. Delhi debate and Shalini truly embodied Delhi’s over-the-top, larger-than-life and maximalist style.
From her extravagant couture to her exquisite bag collection to her eclectic lifestyle, Shalini Passi truly deserves the attention and adulation of the digital world. I mean she lives in a boomerang-shaped mansion which is basically an art museum housing some of the finest art collections. Apart from Shalini’s demure, humble and self-loving nature, the most intriguing part of her life is her wardrobe! If you’ve seen the show you will remember the scene where Shalini welcomes the Bollywood Wives into her mansion by singing ‘Mitwa‘ and then slipping into something comfortable to chat with them. In her case, ‘something comfortable’ is a Roberto Cavalli cutout dress from her own wardrobe. Just stunning.

She rocked this retro look for an episode of ‘The MOST Awkward Interview With Shalini Passi & Aishwarya Mohanraj‘ on Netflix’s YouTube channel. She definitely took us back to the 90s. That custom Dolce & Gabanna Panda bag is just so adorable! “This saree is a tribute to all my style icons- my mother, my badi & choti maasi and the iconic Saira Banu and Asha Parekh,” wrote Passi in her caption.
In Her Disco Era
This Rabanne look from her personal wardrobe is straight out of the 1970s and 1980s Disco era. From her Versace jewellery to Valentino shoes and Rolex watch, Shalini is dripping in luxury while she gets acupuncture done. What is she?!

Shalini Passi sure loves the Cleopatra aesthetic because it has reflected in her style multiple times. This glittering blue jumpsuit from her personal wardrobe has the perfect OTT glam quotient. It is going to make heads turn and jaws drop for sure. The design, the fit, the feather details – all make her look like the diva that she is.

I don’t think there exists any outfit that Shalini cannot pull off. Whether it’s a demure look or a fiery one, this digital sensation can carry it all off effortlessly. Like she does in this Dolce & Gabbana blazer set. It’s giving ‘boss babe living her summer dreams.’ What a unique pantsuit to have in her collection!
