“Toh kaise hai aap log“, a phrase that echoes through the souls of millions of people worldwide. As soon as we hear it our minds think of just one person, Ajey Nagar aka CarryMinati. Ajey Nagar (popularly known as Carry) is the man behind the glorious YouTube channel CarryMinati. Currently cruising as the Number 1 YouTuber in Asia with over 30 Million Subscribers, Carry is a person with many feathers in his cap. While we know who Carry is and the empire he has established. Let us have a look at who Ajey Nagar is:
Ajey was born on 12th June, 1999 in Faridabad. Ajey has always recognised himself as an introverted person for whom his room has always been his world. (Funnily enough we enjoy his room too). To the YouTube world he might seem as a hyper outgoing person but behind the scenes he is calm, composed and quite private. Ajey started his YouTube journey at the age of 15. Surprisingly he didn’t tell his parents about him running a YouTube channel until he reached the 40k subscribers mark. Ajey believes that forming a base is necessary before diving completely into something new and that’s what he did. Ajey’s parents too have supported him in the journey and had no second thoughts when he wanted to drop out and continue making a career in this field.
Through the years he has grown with the platform absorbing everything that the digital media world has to offer and has stood above the rest balancing all the thick and thin in the journey. Carry who initially started on Youtube by making roast videos has even tried stepping into different genres of content. For his love of gaming and live streams, he started another channel CarryisLive which will soon boast a subscriber count of 10 Million. Ajey is also the brand ambassador of the brand Arctic Fox, who unleashed this news to the world in a true “trendy” advertisement.
Besides gaming Carry has also tried his hands at music with his elder brother Yash Nagar aka Wily Frenzy. After the “YOUTUBE VS TIK TOK: THE END” video (which shattered several records but was unfortunately taken down by YouTube as it was reported under “an act of Cyber Bullying and Harassment.”) he released YALGAAR which became viral within no time. Currently it boasts over 235 Million views! (and still counting). The song was also used in Abhishek Bachchan’s movie, The Big Bull.
Ajey has always acknowledged his fans’ support and has also expressed his gratitude on numerous occasions. When he reached the 30 Million Subscriber mark, he thanked all his fans in a heartfelt message on Twitter. He wrote: ”….You have helped me so many times it’s hard to count…The young kid is me and the adult is you, giving me strength even when I feel I am about to lose. So from the bottom of my heart thank you.”
He has even made generous contributions to further the aid required in the need of the hour.
After his power packed performance at Social Nation 2019 festival held at Jio Gardens. He became too emotional from all the love and support that has come his way. When trying to express it, his emotions got the better of him and he ended up crying on stage.
But his performance was something to watch out for!
