All About Music, India’s premier music conference, successfully concluded its 8th edition from August 6th to 8th at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Since its launch in 2017, All About Music has become a cornerstone event in the music industry, bringing together professionals and key players across all sectors. Continuing its legacy, this year’s conference was another sold-out success, providing an unprecedented platform for discussing ideas and advancements in the music industry.
Spanning three days, the event saw an impressive turnout of 200+ speakers, 400+ brands, 1200+ artists, 45+ international delegates, and 8,000+ attendees. More than 90 sessions took place, including panel discussions, keynotes, workshops, masterclasses, showcases, debates and brand stories. These sessions offered invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of the music industry and provided opportunities for professionals to network and collaborate.
The theme for this year was, ‘Synthesis,’ highlighted the importance of reflection and collaboration in shaping the future of the music industry. The theme emphasized creating sustainable, long-lasting connections among industry professionals and fostering win-win partnerships across various sectors.
The event showcased an exceptional lineup of speakers, featuring iconic music legends like A. R. Rahman and Shankar Mahadevan, acclaimed filmmaker Subhash Ghai, Lyor Cohen, the Global Head of YouTube Music, Grammy-winning sound engineer Alan Meyerson, and Clint Valladares from Berklee College of Music, among many others.
Noteworthy artists such as HanumanKind shared his journey, while Shekhar Ravjiani and Shilpa Rao revealed some untold stories. Additionally, Karan Kanchan spoke about collaborations, Sanju Rathod provided insights from a regional perspective, and Chaar Diwari delved into the power of fandom, all of whom added a special touch to the event.
One of the event’s highlights was the Connect Corner, a speed networking hub where over 210 brands and agencies came together, giving attendees the chance to network, discuss business, and forge meaningful industry relationships.
A unique feature of the conference, ‘Pitch,’ provided a platform for emerging talent to present their work directly to industry professionals, including filmmakers, showrunners, and record labels. Divided into three categories – ‘Pitch to Filmmakers,’ ‘Pitch to Record Labels,’ and ‘Pitch to Showcase’ – this initiative offered immediate feedback and opportunities for artists to elevate their careers.
Esteemed figures such as Mohit Suri, Anu Malik, Advait Chandan, Madhur Bhandarkar, and labels like Saregama India, Warner Music India, and Universal Music Group were actively involved in this segment.
The conference also featured exciting live performances. Spotify Night on Day 2 showcased artists such as Akshath Acharya, Anuv Jain, Jasmine Sandlas, and Armaan Malik, while YouTube Music Night on Day 3 featured talents like Ishan, Anurag Halder, Arjun Tanwar, Maahi and Raghav Chaitanya, along with a celebration of YouTube Awards.
