Bigg Boss 18 Has A Winner: Karan Veer Mehra!

The 18th Season finale of Bigg Boss was nothing short of a blockbuster with Karan Veer Mehra lifting the gold trophy! He also received a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh! The finale episode went live on Sunday, 19th January, and had fans on the edge of their seats. Itstwists, turns, andemotional farewells kept everyone hooked!

Glitz, Glam, and Drama!

The finale began with full-on Bollywood vibes! Finalists’ show-stopping performances had the audience cheering. The superstar – Salman Khan‘s entrance multiplied the fervour! Special guests Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor joined him and the finalists to promote their film Loveyapa. Veer Pahariya also made an appearance, to promote his movie Sky Force and announce the eliminated contestants. But the most iconic moment of the night was Aamir Khan reuniting with Salman Khan! His banter with Salman and the contestants was a nostalgic hit!

The Dramatic Departure

As the tension built, the top six contestants faced eliminations one by one.

• Eisha Singh, everyone’s emotional favourite, was the first to leave. With her sensational mic drop roast performance, she thanked fans saying, “Bigg Boss ne mujhe family di hai, yeh journey hamesha yaad rahegi.”
• Next out were Chum Darang and Avinash Mishra, both of whom got emotional during their farewells.
• Rajat Dalal, the second runner-up, expressed gratitude saying,‘Thank you for your support. I will always be grateful and hope to never let you down.’

Finally, the ultimate face-off came down to Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena. Salman Khan’s dramatic pause had everyone hanging in suspense until he finally announced, “The winner of Bigg Boss 18 is… Karan Veer Mehra!”

Karan Veer Mehra’s victory wasn’t just a win – it was a celebration of grit and hard work! Overwhelmed, he shared, “I feel very happy. I am the chosen one.” This wasn’t Karan Veer’s first brush with reality television. Winning seems to be in his genes, as the star also won Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 in 2024. 

A consistent performer on-screen, Karan Veer’s one-liner dialogues made him a fan favourite. He shared his win on social media, calling himself ‘Janta ka Laadla.’ He expressed gratitude and spoke about overcoming challenges to achieve this victory.

Vivian Dsena: Runner-Up, Hero of Hearts

While the Bigg Boss 18 title was bagged by KVM, Vivian Dsena emerged as the runner-up. His graceful acceptance of his title won the audience’s admiration. He became famous for giving up his secured Ticket to Finale earlier in the season. Vivian remarked post-finale, “Game hi toh nahi khelna aata hai”.

During the Bigg Boss 18 Press conference, Vivian faced probing questions about his gameplay, alliances and the result of the show. He gracefully countered, “I have not lost anything guys… I know my fans are emotional right now… but I’m grateful to God, that he gave me such lovely fans who supported me throughout the journey.” 

Vivian Dsena reassured his fandom with a gentle grace. Vivian’s humility and authenticity have proven that sometimes, the true victory lies beyond the trophy.

Many fans expressed skepticism about the results, leading to hashtags like “#BB Fixed Winner” trending. The win sparked controversy, with debates about whether it was fixed, paid for, or genuinely earned through votes. Celebrities, former winners and fans outpoured their opinions onto Twitter!

Gautam Gulati, winner of Bigg Boss 8, voiced his support for Karan Veer, stating, “I don’t know him well but he has the attitude of a winner.”

Prayag Tiwari positioned Karan Veer next to Siddharth Shukla saying, “The only deserving winner after Siddharth Shukla, I’ve known him for the last 10 years, he’s the most sensible and genuine guy. This season is The Karanveer Mehra Show ❤️.”

Some fans accused Colors TV and Jio Cinema of fixing the show. They claimed other contestants, especially Rajat Dalal, had no real chance to compete. These claims follow Rajveer Shishodia‘s statement about the top 2 fixed finalists, months before the show’s finale.  

Social media platforms were abuzz, with fans questioning the fairness of the outcome. A Vivian fan tweeted, “Vivian deserved to win! His journey was genuine and heartfelt.”
