Honouring Park Soo Ryun, Her Life And Her Legacy

South Korean Actor Park Soo Ryun, best known for her role in the popular Kdrama Snowdrop, passed away on June 11, after a deadly accident. She was only 29 years old and was rushed to the hospital immediately after the fatal incident. To honour her, Park Soo Ryun’s family has decided to donate her organs. Let’s revisit her life and her legacy.

According to the Korean news portal, Park Soo Ryun fell off the stairs at the Jeju Islands. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brain dead but her heart was beating. However, she was unresponsive to any kind of treatment and unfortunately lost the battle, leaving her family, friends and fans, terribly. 

Park Soo Ryun was at the Jeju Islands for her performance. She fell off the fleet of stairs before the event could have happened and lost her life to the lethal accident just one day before her performance.

To honour Park Soo Ryun and her life, her family has decided to donate her organs to those in need. While speaking to Soompi, Park Soo Ryun’s mother told about her decision to donate her daughter’s organs. She said, “Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs (organs). As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted (by the thought that her heart) has gone to someone and is beating.” 

Park Soo Ryun’s funeral was held today at the Suwon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Centre. The family will hold her final rites and procession tomorrow.

The Legacy Of Park Soo Ryun

While Park Soo Ryun has left this world, her work will always stay to remind us of her legacy. She made her debut in the industry with Il Tenore, a musical released in 2018. After this, she appeared in many musicals including Finding Kim Jong Wook, Passing Through Love, Siddhartha and TheDay We Loved. However, the most popular series of her acting trajectory is her work in Snowdrop. 

In the Kdrama series, Park Soo Ryun played the role of one of the university students who was detained by the authorities but was later released by the authorities. Alongside Snowdrop, Park Soo Ryun is also known for her role in the Kdrama series Raindrop, wherein she appeared along with Jung Hae-in and Blackpink’s Jisoo. 

The death of the Kdrama actor is a tragic event that leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved and admired her. We wish to honour Park Soo Ryun’s memory and appreciate her short but impactful work. We extend our deepest condolences to her loved ones and fans. May she rest in peace and may her contributions continue to inspire future generations of actors and viewers alike.
