It’s International Youth Day today! A day to celebrate, recognise, appreciate and enable the young adults of today to achieve their fullest potential for years to come. The young professionals today believe in learning, hustling and growing their skills. At Social Nation, we are a team of young 20-somethings with a wide array of skills. Our team’s average age is 23 years!
To celebrate the impact of young creative talents in the Indian creator industry, we approached 9 creative agencies and asked them to highlight one ‘star employee’ from their company under the age of 30.
This particular employee would be someone who has left a lasting impact on the people they have worked with. Their work has benefitted the creator industry, proving how valuable their contributions are. Let’s take a look at these stellar young talents:
Clout picked Shravika Behl as their star employee. At the age of 28, she is handling the position of Manager & Creator Growth at Clout, Pocket Aces.
In the past year, I spearheaded our team’s initiative to expand our talent roster into new categories like food and DIY and strengthen our beauty fashion roster. This involved identifying emerging talent, building strong relationships, and successfully onboarding creators who have become key contributors to our brand’s growth.
I identified creators across diverse niches and nurtured their growth by bringing them into the limelight with mainstream creators to build new categories in the creator economy. Two interesting examples would be Abhinav Yadav who makes DIY content and Malhar Kalambe who is an environmentalist. Both these creators were recently nominated for their work on National Creator’s Day where Malhar ended up winning the ‘Swachhata Ambassador Award’ from the PM of India.
My organization empowered me with the autonomy to make independent decisions, whether it’s onboarding emerging creators I believe in, starting a new roster category (food), product launches or margin improvement initiatives. I even got a lot of support from my leaders during my executive MBA at ISB. As the organization grew, I experienced significant personal & professional development from an Associate to the Growth Lead. This trajectory enabled me to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the creator economy.
21-year-old Drisshti Asknani from Dot Media is quite the accomplisher. Check out this young Public Relations & Corporate Communications Head‘s stellar achievements:
I don’t think I can say there’s one project that has stolen the spotlight because I worked with some of the top and most generous brands including Bacardi, DEWARS Fossil, Michael Kors, Armani Exchange, Emporio Armani and many more. However, there is one that has a special place in my heart and that’s the launch of DEWARS last year. I think that has been the ‘IT’ project for me, considering I was a part of the planning, strategising and execution. There was a lot of creative bandwidth that went into it, the execution was tiring, but 100% fruitful. As of now, I’m heading a project for an International Tourism brand and I can’t wait to discuss the details of it!
Since joining the field, I’ve found it increasingly rewarding despite initial challenges. While I couldn’t have achieved these milestones alone, thanks to my supportive team, some important accomplishments include:
–Boosting PR for creators at Dot Media by approximately 800%
-Successfully nominating and winning awards for:
Heading the PR Department of a Talent Management company in the creator economy, I’ve had the privilege of working with beautifully talented individuals. Dot Media has been nothing but supportive in helping me achieve my goals! We’ve successfully provided a platform for our creators to share their voices, talents, and stories, allowing them to reach a broader audience and build a loyal fan base. We’ve also facilitated strategic & unique collaborations between our creators and renowned brands like Nature’s Basket & BigHit.
Dot Media as an agency has encouraged me in pushing my boundaries and working on some huge projects, one of which I’m currently heading along with my humble and very supportive team! The PR team has always offered personalised support, empowering our creators to focus on what they do best, and achieve their media-led goals. By encouraging a supportive network of like-minded individuals and leveraging fun storytelling techniques, we’ve always supported our creators to push the boundaries of digital content and stay ahead of the curve. Through these efforts, we have collectively not only achieved our goals but have also made a meaningful impact!
We Are Yuvaa‘s Anusha GS Shetty is a star in every sense. At 29, she’s the Creative Head of the organisation with many stellar projects under her belt.
If I had to pick one, it would be “Be A Man, Yaar” with Nikhil Taneja. We launched season 1 last year, and the love we received for it was incredible. The numbers were amazing, but the kind of messages we got from people across the world was something we hoped for but didn’t know would be at this scale. As a woman, it’s great to be part of an initiative aimed at reshaping the narrative of masculinity.
Yuvaa works at the intersection of important and interesting. We create campaigns that are impact-driven and collaborate with young, upcoming creators who want to use social media for social good. For example, our podcast “Dear Teenage Me” with Spotify India featured 30+ celebrities and creators sharing their teenage stories with the world. We’ve also produced powerful pieces around positive mental health featuring some of the internet’s biggest stars. Having these conversations via creators helps us get the message to a wider audience and creates a space for creators to truly connect with young people. Additionally, our campaign with UNICEF YuWaah involved collaborating with 110 micro creators to create 1500+ short pieces of content around upskilling and misinformation.
I joined Yuvaa over 4 years ago (1 year into Yuvaa’s existence) as a social media manager and am now part of the young leadership team, focusing on the company’s growth, innovation, and culture. Yuvaa has empowered me to lead major projects and work with icons from the media and entertainment industry. The organization has provided opportunities to develop my skills, take on significant responsibilities, and make impactful decisions.
Tape A Tale‘s Vibhuti Bhatnagar is a 21-year-young super talented Community Manager. Let’s know her story:
My favourite project to work on has been GHAR by Tape A Tale – which is our open mic events that we run across 30 cities in India now. It’s a space where artists and creators, a lot of them being first-time performers, can perform their stories and poems for a beautiful audience of people who actually listen. I am proud to be associated with GHAR because I get to experience the impact these events create in the smallest of cities where people want to be on a stage. Growing this IP to 30 cities has been my proudest accomplishment.
We have done sold-out shows in the smallest cities, like Siliguri, where we only dreamt of doing shows, let alone sold-out ones. I think what I do on a day-to-day basis at Tape A Tale, be it as a community manager for GHAR or handling their social media – is to give new, emerging talent a platform.
From giving me creative freedom to letting me take risks, nothing could have been possible without having a space that allows us to experiment, learn, create, and maintain authenticity within the community we share. It is through them that I have learned “pankh phaelane ko toh kahin bhi phaela sakte ho, aasmaan tumhara he hai!”
For Finnet Media, Siddharth Ostwal is their young ‘star employee.’ At 24, Siddharth is the Head of Brand Solutions at the talent management agency.
One project that I worked on last year that I am extremely proud of is Clear Tax. Clear Tax campaigns are predominantly active for 3 months, especially during the tax filing season. We executed a big campaign for Instagram and YouTube and worked with Cat A, Cat B and Cat C creators from the finance and infotainment category. We strategized topics that were very education-forward to teach the audience about the nuances of taxation. It became an education campaign that also drove conversions for the brand.
From a brand narrative, we have been able to make brands more comfortable with investing in influencer marketing and build better-planned influencer campaigns. From a talent perspective, we worked on enabling PR for creators, positioning and also playing the role of a partner when it comes to building their content strategy and connecting them to experts. Therefore, improving the content game of creators and simultaneously helping brands realise the potential of influencer marketing.
It has given me freedom to do whatever I want to do, a kickass team and also a wide network to tap into enabling me to meet the right people at the right places.
24-year-old Anoushka Venkatesh is the chosen one from CollabX Entertainment. What makes this young Head of Talent Agents the best? Read on-
I have worked with a multitude of brands like Google, Hotstar, Amazon etc., over the last 5 years of my professional journey. Every project I have worked on has all of my brain and heart into it. But if I’m being honest about something I’m really proud of, it’s how I have carried each and every brief I was put into- be it creativity or execution, with grace. Whether it was working with MTV for their “contraception awareness” campaign or YouTube for their “YT shorts” campaign.
Not only have I worked with known names in the creator space, but I have constantly tried to look out for and work on projects with more and newer names on the platforms. This also helped me encourage them to elevate and add value to their content plans. I have in return set out more creators to set up with their content strategies as per the trends.
I would be lying if I said my organisation- CollabX didn’t help me build myself as someone I’m proud of today. I was a teen when I started my career here and the constant push and motivation always helped me get a step farther than where I was the day before. Work never felt like work because of the constant support and encouragement, and you can’t go wrong with something that gives you happiness.
23-year-old Jahanavee Rathee is killing it as CREATE‘s Talent Management Executive. Check out her achievements:
One project I’m particularly proud of is our creator Monkey Magic’s debut travelogue, ‘Melodies of India.’ Being part of this pan-India book launch was a rewarding experience and a significant achievement in my portfolio.
By being involved in projects like ‘Melodies of India,’ and more I have been able to tap into creative collaboration within the creator economy. Managing and executing such ventures has allowed me to explore opportunities beyond traditional brand collaborations, contributing to the overall growth and vitality of the creator economy.
At CREATE, I’ve had the chance to step up and take on leadership roles, from coordinating major brand campaigns to being a part of innovative projects for our creators. The support from a creative and enthusiastic team, along with inspiring creators, reflects their trust in young minds like mine to bring fresh perspectives to the creator economy.
Aashna Sakhlecha is WYLD‘s Chief Experience Officer. At 25 years old she has carried out some amazing projects related to user experience and customer satisfaction.
Last year, I took pride in building the WYLD Tribe from the ground up. This initiative involved creating sub-programs and organizing community-building events like the ‘Born On WYLD’ parties. This significantly enhanced user engagement, resulting in a 40% increase in active users. The strong sense of belonging we fostered has turned our community into a tight-knit group of creators who regularly collaborate and support each other. This has not only driven engagement but has also cultivated a vibrant, loyal community that stands at the heart of WYLD’s success.
By establishing the WYLD Tribe and organizing events that connect creators, I’ve fostered a supportive environment where creators can network, collaborate, and grow. These initiatives have led to a 35% increase in cross-promotion among our creators. This has helped them leverage their social influence more effectively, contributing to a more robust and interconnected creator economy. Here creators not only thrive professionally but also form lasting friendships.
WYLD’s unwavering support has been pivotal in achieving my goals. The company has allowed me the creative freedom to develop groundbreaking community-building strategies. Their commitment to personal relationships has enabled me to transform user interactions into meaningful, lasting connections, driving both personal and professional success within our community.
Manik Girotra of DIY Solutions holds a very interesting position. At 24, he is their Juggad Officer. The young professional manages operations smoothly.
One project I am particularly proud to include in my portfolio from last year is arranging a guest speaker session for one of my clients, an IT company. They were looking for a well-known and highly motivating speaker to inspire their leadership team. I successfully secured Rahul Dravid for the session, which was a great achievement and a memorable event for the client.
My work has significantly impacted the creator economy by fostering successful collaborations between brands and creators. I have worked with several clients, including Mamaearth, Sprite, and many more, where I facilitate partnerships that allow creators to promote their products. By connecting brands with influential creators, I help amplify their reach and drive engagement, contributing to the growth and dynamism of the creator economy.
My mentor and founder, Amol Gupta, who has a decade of experience in this industry, has been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. He constantly pushes me to expand my limits, work hard, and grow. His motivation has driven me to become the face of our organization, making me well-known in the industry.
These young achievers deserve a huge round of applause for all they have achieved under 30 years of age. Even at such an early stage in their career, their journey is truly motivational. Each one of you is going to create a super successful future for yourself. Take a bow, guys! Give it up for these young creative talents!
