It’s a huge moment for the Indian creator economy currently at the Cannes Film Festival 2024. The French Riviera is buzzing with celebrities, filmmakers and creators from across the globe who have arrived at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. It was quite heartwarming to see some of our Indian creators represent the country at an International level.
The creators definitely brought their A-game to Cannes with their ultra-glam and fashionable looks. Let’s take you through those eye-catching Cannes looks:
Nancy Tyagi is the moment! One of the most deserving creators to grace the Red Carpet, she proves that no dream is too big to dream. Her 2nd look from Cannes upped the ante even more. She wore a lavender saree with intricate hand embroidery made by her from scratch along with headgear. Love is pouring from all corners for this young woman and rightfully so!
Adorning a bespoke reverse tuxedo designed by Rohitash Notani, Founder & Creative Director- Rosani, Ankush Bahuguna owned the Cannes Red Carpet. The avant-garde ensemble featured a larger-than-life black ornate bloom from Notani’s Eclipsed Flora motifs, adding just the right amount of extravagant elegance to the classic tuxedo silhouette. To complement the look, Ankush opted for those eye-catching Louboutins, vintage editorial finger curls in the hair and a touch of glittery silver on the inner corners of the eyes.
Speaking about the experience, Ankush Bahuguna excitedly said, “It was a very special and proud moment for me, my family, and the Indian beauty community. I am immensely grateful to Rohitash Notani, the designer and stylist Akshay Tyagi, for putting together this exquisite ensemble for me. The reverse tuxedo reflects my personal style perfectly- it is experimental without screaming for attention.”
Also, these White swan vs. Black swan outfits had us drooling!! Diipa Buller-Khosla and Ankush Bahuguna have been serving some of the best looks this year at Cannes
Diipa Buller-Khosla is the gift that keeps giving when it comes to fashion. Every look of hers at Cannes screams “Queen!” After that dazzling white swan look – a Falguni and Shane Peacock breast plate and draped sari gown, Diipa went Red for the Red Carpet. The look is giving royalty. That cape, the way the gown fits, and HMU – everything is on point!
We loved how Vishnu Kaushal elevated the traditional black suit by adding that necktie with a brooch. Talking about his experience, he said “Cannes was definitely something that was like a crazy fantasy. I found myself just wondering, how did I even make it up here? That too, to do it with some of the country’s top creators who also happen to be great friends was a very fulfilling feeling. It was like all of us, a bunch of kids were living a single dream. Definitely a story to tell my kids one day!”
To rock every look and outfit while being pregnant is an art that Masoom Minawala Mehta aces. This Marmar Halim dress brings out her divine feminine. This dress was made for mama-to-be!
What a stunner! Talking about her bedazzled look RJ Karishma said, “With the red carpet renowned for its fashion focus, I felt a deep desire to showcase our Indian culture and craftsmanship. Coming from the interiors of India, it was essential for me to bring a piece of our heritage to this global stage. Collaborating with Abhinav Mishra, known for his signature handcrafted mirror-work, resulted in a unique custom ensemble that makes me feel truly special and grateful.”
Niharika looks like a dream in that Monica Ivena dress. The colour, the style, the detailing, the pearly white cape and the accessories all come together so beautifully in this look, making Niharika NM shine bright like a diamond!
You can’t go wrong with a classic black tux. Viraj looks dapper in The Maroon Suit outfit. He’s made it from South of Borivali to South of France for real!
From Mumbai to Cannes, this Patiala Boy is becoming an international crush! Shehzaan‘s outfit is as lit as the iconic Eiffel Tower. This Emporio Armani suit makes for such a chic and sophiticated look.
We love seeing sarees on International platforms and Aastha made it happen. She looked absolutely gorgeous in this black saree with a modern twist from Moni K by Kritikaa Chhabra. And that pallu, uff! Her yellow dress and mermaid looks were also to die for!
Rahi can pull off almost any look with such ease! How stunning is that white net shirt with white blazer and pants outfit?! We absolutely love this Michael Kors look!
Having turned heads with the longest trail dress on Day 1 of Cannes, Deepti opted for this extravagant gold gown for her 3rd Red Carpet look. She looks ethereal in this Nikhita Tandon dress.
Another mermaid look we liked! Kinnari looks super elegant in this Kalki gown. It compliments her body shape so well.
It was so sweet so watch Sanjyot Keer and his wife Payal Kapoor walk the Cannes Red Carpet while holding hands together. Both look stunning in black!
Finance bros Sharan Hegde and Ayush Shukla turned up in fine black tuxedos. Sharan’s outfit was from NM Design Studio and Ayush opted for a Label J Mens Co fit.
Chic, cool, sophisticated – the kind of fashion we like. Raj is sporting this Harfun Life look so well!
