The first video that popped up on my Instagram feed as soon as I opened my eyes this morning was the adorable wedding film of Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone that was kept under wraps for so many years. The video starts with Ranveer raising a toast and recollecting his words to his father about marrying DP at some point in his life. The video is sure to move you and leave you asking for more. So what’s the reason for releasing Deepveer’s wedding film after almost 5 years?

Koffee With Karan Season 8 premieres tonight and to create noise in the smartest way by tapping our hearts, the makers and the first guests of the show, released the unseen wedding footage of the two actors. No, we aren’t complaining. We are huge fans of the couple as well as the talk show that has made its way to our screens already.

The Connect between YJHD & Deepveer’s Wedding Film

For those of you who have still not watched the wedding video, here’s a little backstory. The video was first posted by The Wedding Filmer – the talented bunch who captured the wedding that was set against the picturesque Lake Como. The caption of the post takes you back to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani days when Vishal Punjabi (CEO, The Wedding Filmer) & Deepika Padukone worked together and DP asked him to capture her wedding whenever it took place. And life has come full circle for both of them as he captured the beauty and her knight in shining armour on their D-day. 

As Ranveer’s dad rightly says, “It’s all scripted. The most amazing scriptwriter is writing the script sometimes.”

The couple graces the famous Koffee couch where Ranveer even reveals the dreamy wedding proposal in Maldives in 2015. Deepveer have managed to win our hearts on-screen but this will be one of the few times, they will be seen unfiltered and real. Deepika looks her sartorial best, dressed in a hot body-hugging black dress while Ranveer wins you with his dynamic personality and an all-black shiny outfit.
