Everything You Need To Know About The Bachelor Season 28

The 28th season of the popular American show – The Bachelor premiered on 22nd January in the United States. The reality TV series has gained global popularity owing to the intense drama, passionate love and unpredictable twists. This season sees 32 women vying for the eligible bachelor – Joey Graziadei. 

Meet the Bachelor

Graziadei is a 28-year-old tennis pro from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who was last seen as a runner-up in Charity Lawson’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ and is now here to find his soulmate. 

As The Bachelor, Joey is looking for someone outgoing, caring, and who shares his love for adventure and exploring the outdoors. He loves hiking, surfing, and ending his days watching the sunset but knows he has much more love to give. 

With the premiere and first episode already over, fans of the show have already picked their favourite.

Who’s the fan favourite?

Fans predict Lea Cayanan might be the one to steal Joey’s heart. Although it is too soon to predict the winner, Lea is off to a great start after Joey gives her the first impression Rose. 

Along with Lea, 21 other girls have made it through the first Rose ceremony. Meanwhile, 10 other girls were eliminated in the very first episode. 

A little about Lea

Back in 2023, when Joey was the runner-up on The Bachelorette, the show host, Jesse Palmer, announced Joey Garziadei becoming the next bachelor. Along with the revelation, he disclosed that someone from the audience will be given a chance to become a part of The Bachelor’s Season 28. Lea ended up being the lucky contestant. Along with this golden opportunity, Lea also received an envelope with instructions that she could not open it until she reached the villa. 

Upon reaching the residence, Lea opened the letter which said:

“Months ago you took a bold risk for love and now you’re finally here at the Bachelor mansion. This card gives you the power to steal a 1:1 date from someone else at any time before hometowns.”

Lea, however, threw away the card in the fire, refusing to take advantage. She wanted to be chosen by Joey himself and not “interfere with his journey” of love.

Joey’s first impression of Lea

Graziadei was impressed by Lea’s decision, which is why he decided to give her the first impression rose, he said, 

“Your interpretation and thoughts of the card that you were given spoke a lot to me, just about your character and who you are.” 

Fans’ reaction

Lea’s act has won the hearts of many. Fans think she makes a good match for Joey as her bio reads that she doesn’t like casual dating, and generally takes her romantic pursuits seriously. “She is ready to be wifed up and is a sucker for big romantic gestures.”
