Facebook announced new updates for the Transfer Your Information (TYI) tool on August 9, 2021, to improve user experience. With more choice and control over data, data portability got much smoother. In simpler words, you can easily transfer a copy of your data from Facebook to other services. Isn’t that great news? The new update focuses on two new destinations and one new data type.
Well, Photobucket and Google Calendar are the new destinations, and Facebook Events is the new data type. As per Facebook Newsroom, the latest updates include:
Facebook is going to keep on popping up with new updates regarding better security and portability. Not only that, but the platform is also looking out for data types and destinations to be expanded. Government regulations are still important for ensuring “clearer rules about who is responsible for protecting that data as it is transferred to different services”, states Facebook Newsroom.
