A Sneak Peek Into ‘The Tribe’

Directed by Omkar Potdar & produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, ‘The Tribe’ takes five influencers on a wild ride from India to the heart of Los Angeles. Leading the squad is Alanna Panday, co-founder of Collab Tribe, with Hardik Javeri, and she’s bringing the heat! Her tribe? Alaviaa Jaaferi, Srushti Porey, Aryaana Gandhi, and the newest addition Alfia Jafry. These influencers are on a mission to make it big in a city where everyone’s hustling hard. And you know what that means? Drama, ambition, and a whole lot of competition!

The series aimed to provide viewers with a new understanding of the challenges & success that come along with being famous. But despite addressing a range of topics, it fails in its goals. While it appears to check many boxes like luxury living, the show does not explore the deeper aspects of fame, friendships, and business.

This is where the issues arise. Instead, it feels like the influencers are trying to potentially maintain a flawless image through social media, without gaining insight into their real lives and the factors that contribute to their influence.

A Hit Or Miss? ft. Netizens

While we know the dynamics of the show, let’s dive deeper into netizens’ and the influencers’ fans reactions. A user on Instagram commented, “Very boring, can’t believe Amazon Prime Video allowed this 😂.” While another wrote, “Couldn’t even watch it for 10 mins! I’ll pass this.

On the contrary, some fans absolutely loved it and are in awe to see their favourite creators & influencers reaching the heights they feel they deserve. One user commented, “Alfia the best the best the best! Strong opinions Strong girl. I don’t care about her attitude. Also, not pleasing anyone, loved itt!” A second user hyped, “Watched the show already and watching it for 2nd time for @alfia_j & @alaviaajaaferi they’re pure love💌.”

Loved the show! It was so much fun to watch!! You guys should do a meetup/launch in LA too! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥,” wrote a third user. “I am watching rn and already looking forward to szn 2 😍,” another user expressed.

Fashion Lookbook On Point!

Whether they got the plot right or not, the one thing they did get right was fashion. Right from the first episode, viewers are hit with some seriously impressive fashion moments. These influencers are serving major style goals with looks that turn heads. Whether it’s chic everyday streetwear or Srushti’s vibrant ‘Breakfast Party’ collection, they rocked everything from bold denim to trendy beachwear. The way they mix their original flair with easy vibes and high fashion? Total goals!

Locations To Die For

Along with the creators’ fashion, it takes viewers on a journey through some of Los Angeles’s most iconic spots. While much of the action happens at the CollabTribe House in suburban LA and Hardik Zaveri’s stunning home on Mulholland Drive, the cast doesn’t stop there. They hit the Hollywood Walk of Fame, soaking in all the glitz and glam of Tinseltown.

From hiking in Griffith Park to catching the sun at Venice Beach, the tribe’s adventures are packed with energy. Beyond LA, they levelled up to dune bashing at Pismo Beach and camping against the breathtaking backdrops of Flying Flags Avila Beach. It’s all about mixing work, play, and a whole lot of excitement, according to Cosmopolitan.

When everything was falling apart for the series, we didn’t expect anything big to happen. However, the Lakme billboard collaboration did give a subtle happy ending to the show.
