FRIENDS Reunion Has Melted Our Hearts!

After a long exciting wait we finally got to watch the much awaited FRIENDS Reunion and here’s what we have to say about it:

FRIENDS is an American TV sitcom that ran from 1994 – 2004 with a total of 10 Seasons. It is by far one of the most popular shows to have ever been produced and has been screened in over 200 territories!
For the past 17 years all the 6 actors David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have only been in the same room once until the night of the reunion. The reunion took place on the sets of the show and the characters sat down infront of the iconic fountain (from the intro music) with popular television host James Corden. Seeing the cast sit down together after 17 years was enough to bring tears to our eyes.

Surprisingly enough the cast wasn’t the only people appearing on the show. We saw Mr. Heckles, Richard, Judy and George (Ross and Monica’s parents) and even Richard! Besides the characters, the show also had special appearances from Reese Witherspoon, BTS, David Beckham, Malala Yusufzai and even more! (Now that’s what you call a reunion!

The entire episode celebrated the show’s legacy but the creators of the show Kevin Bright, Martha Kaufman and David Crane shared their experiences right from writing the show to casting each and every character. They revealed that the show was never meant to have a single main character but was always meant to be about ‘Friends’. They even mentioned that casting Rachel was toughest of all and they had to literally gamble with another show to get Jennifer Aniston play the part.

Probably one of the most touching moments of the reunion episode was the table read and the actors forming a huddle and doing a group hug. Furthermore, they even showcased what the show means or has meant to the people of the world. People from all over the globe shared their personal anecdotes as to how Friends helped them battle with depression, made them laugh, find their ‘Monica’ and even said that the show has helped save so many lives than they would ever know! Honestly, what better proof do you need for the success of your work?
Now we believe we have said enough but also haven’t spoilt anything for you. So if you haven’t already watched it then GO WATCH! (on HBO Max or Zee5)
