When it comes to unforgettable laughter moments, “India’s Got Latent” by Samay Raina has delivered its fair share of gems. But some particular moments have left us in stitches long after the episodes aired. These hilarious scenes not only had us laughing out loud but also introduced us to the incredible winners who stole the show.
Join us as we revisit these side-splitting highlights from the show and celebrate the talents who made it a memorable experience for all!
In the debut episode, Jyoti Sharma & Vedant Modi stole the show with their impressive rap skills, earning each of them a winner’s spot. Jyoti’s heartbreak verses & Vedant’s wacky lines about Raina (both Samay & Suresh), left a lasting experience for the audience as well as the panel. The judging panel included — Samay with his sharp humour, Balraj Ghai with the coolest comedy epicenter (Habitat), Raftaar with his rap expertise, and Sahil Kale, Samay’s close friend. They applauded Jyoti & Vedant’s talent, setting the bar high for the rest of the season.
In this episode, the stage was set ablaze by the impressive performances of Suyansh Pandey & Veer, who won the episode with their electrifying “Reggae Rap” act, mixing those laid-back reggae rhythms with quick, catchy rap lines that had everyone vibing, true winners in every sense.
The panel of judges who joined Samay for this episode was a mix of seasoned & new talent. It included Gamer Fleet a.k.a Anshu Bisht representing the gaming world, Nishant Tanwar, who added his sharp, comedic touch, and Karan Singh Magic who contributed with his magical words. Balraj was a part of this panel too.
Together, they made for a memorable & engaging judging panel, applauding contestants’ outstanding performances, especially the winners.
In Episode 3 of IGL, the spotlight was on Deepak Yadav, a powerful poem on ‘Jealousy,’ earning him 7 points & the win. The panel featured Samay, Uorfi Javed (fresh from her new show Follow Kar Lo Yaar), the Pretty Good Roast Show host Aashish Solanki, the musician Yashraj, and as always Balraj Ghai.
While Deepak Yadav claimed the winner’s title, Suryansh Tiwari also stole the show with his mimicry of Salman Khan. Suryansh’s spot-on impressions & Dabangg stage presence got everyone on the edge of their seat, overshadowing the competition & making his performance the highlight of the episode. He was the real crowd-puller of the night.
In Episode 4, a full-time Graphic Designer, Hard Shivam slayed with his killer combo of stand-up beatboxing and rapping. The panel comprised Samay, Balraj, seasoned comedians Maheep Singh and Amit Tandon, and Neeti Palta. They had their work cut out for them, trying to keep up with all the awesomeness on stage.
Maheep Singh, being his usual legendary self, dropped a fresh fire line “likho 98” during the first act of the day, and his poetic twist, “hakikat nahi tum mera bhram ho,” seriously took things to the next level. As a fan of Maheep Singh, it made the episode a must-watch and added all the right vibes.
In Episode 5, the winner was Naman Arora, a versatile comedian, theatre artist, shayar, soon-to-be motivational speaker, and a lot more. The panel for this episode featured a diverse group of comedy talents including Samay, the veteran comedian Atul Khatri, alongside Kunal Kamra (noted for his sharp wit & his signature shenanigan scenes) and Balraj.
Naman Arora killed his set, including the “Ek Tarfa Pyaar” shayari took the show off the storm. His performance was a masterclass in combining humour with an irresistible stage presence. Did you know that he has also acted in the movie Jugg Jugg Jeeyo? Raising the bar of the competition, Naman brought the house down with his unmatched energy & killer talent – proof that he’s a rising star in the comedy scene.
