Do you know that feeling of being away from home and being homesick at times but then you go back home and it is just a matter of a few days but you miss the routine you had in your city life? That’s it. This is what this show is about. The new show Ghar Waapsi is about all things happy, struggles of adulting, reminiscing the good old days, and having fights with your siblings while realizing how you’ve grown up within years.
Directed by Ruchir Arun and produced by Dice Media , the show stars Vishal Vashishtha as the lead protagonist, Anushka Kaushik as his sister, Saad as his brother, and Akanksha Thakur as his love interest.
Vibha Chibber who plays the role of the actor’s mother was also present at the screening. She has a role which mothers would relate to-loving and done with their children’s tantrums and problems. The role of the father is played by Atul Srivastav who is understanding and believes in his children.
The show had its premiere screening on 20th July 2022 where the stars were present and they got a full house audience cheering during the screening.
The Director of the show, Ruchir talked about how it was just a show which speaks a lot about the ‘kheech taan’ of the family. “When I read the script, I thought it is the story of my family only. We sat down with the writers and shared each of our personal experiences, and finally, arrived at a place that was honest for all of us. The script came out to be so real that I had to just find the right actors for these characters and then the shoot was just a cakewalk.”

“Shekhar’s character is relatable to me as just like him I also moved out of my home to pursue my career and I miss home. Lifestyle is different now and clashes happen but then my family is my everything. I am everything because of them only. However, there is one difference- unlike Shekhar, I take life slowly, and he doesn’t. I enjoy the process and the victory.”, said Vishal about his character of Shekhar.
“I am in peace today. The show is close to my heart and I am quite excited about it. I have played the role of Suruchi, who is Shekhar Dwivedi’s (Vishal Vashishtha) sister in the show and I absolutely relate to her. She’s the smartest and is fun. She knows how to tie the knots. Anushka and Suruchi are similar and it was fun to play her role,” said Anushka on the screening night.
The six-episode series has a perfect family of five- a funny mother, a happy father, a son who is back in his hometown, a carefree young brother, and their chulbuli sister. The series is shot in Indore and gives all the town feels to the viewers.
