Touted to be America’s one of the biggest and most followed beauty influencers. James Charles is a self-taught Makeup Artist, Youtuber, and Enterpurner. James always had an interest in makeup and was inclined towards beauty since childhood.
He worked hard on his makeup skills and now is considered to be the most subscribed male beauty guru on Youtube. Charles is well known for his youtube channel where he conducts product reviews, lifestyle vlogs, and makeup tutorials. He is popular with the young generation and has gained a huge fan following through his unique makeup skills.
Charles made a benchmark in 2016 by being the first male to feature in CoverGirl after a tweet that went viral that featured his makeup. He was the first to land on the cover international edition of Vogue Portugal with the tagline —- ‘The Beauty Of Imperfection’.
In 2020, James hosted, directed, and co-produced a YouTube Originals series – Instant Influencer. He started this show with the aim of uplifting people with exceptionally good makeup skills and helping them achieve a path in life.

He has one younger brother Ian Jeffrey who is a model and a famous internet personality. Ian helped create merch for James’s clothing line – Sisters Apparel.
Apart from acing at what he does, James also shares a good rapport with many famous internet sensations such as Kylie Jenner, Emma Chamberlain, Nikita Dragon, Lil Nas X, and Bretman Rock.
Adding a fun factor to his personality is his personal wardrobe where he never fails to surprise us. James is often seen using the catchphrase – ‘hi sisters’. He refers to himself as “the queen sister” and his fans as “sisters”.
