Blackpink’s Jisoo Announces Charitable Ventures With Her YouTube Earnings

Blackpink’s Jisoo, whose actual name is Kim Ji-soo, has demonstrated her commitment to philanthropy and social causes through her support of various charitable projects, from her newly established YouTube channel. Since its beginning, in January 2023, the channel has garnered significant attention that has helped her earn significantly. With these additional earnings, Jisoo pledged to donate them to charitable causes including child welfare and resorting mother nature.

Charitable Contribution

On March 12, 2024, Jisoo announced to donate a significant amount to Save the Children, an international NGO dedicated to improving the lives of children worldwide. The decision aligns with her ongoing dedication to social causes and marks a significant step in her philanthropic journey which is not limited to a geographic location but to the entire globe.

Mangrove Forest Restoration

The proceeds from Jisoo’s YouTube channel will specifically support the restoration of mangrove forests in Vietnam’s Ca Mau province. Mangroves are crucial ecosystems that provide habitat for diverse marine life, protect coastlines from erosion, and serve as carbon sinks. 

However, due to factors such as deforestation, pollution, and climate change, mangrove forests are under threat and in need of restoration efforts. Her initiative highlights her awareness of environmental conservation and sustainable development efforts.

BLISSOO Agency Launch

In February 2024, the global icon expanded her professional ventures by launching BLISSOO, her own entertainment agency. The agency’s mission statement reflects her vision of spreading happiness through her artistic projects, that transcend boundaries and genres.

Fashion and Acting Ventures

Jisoo’s influence extends beyond music, as evidenced by her recent debut as a global brand ambassador for Dior during Paris Fashion Week 2024. Additionally, she is poised to make a comeback in acting, with roles in the Zombie drama series “Influenza” and the upcoming film “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.”

Jisoo’s multifaceted attempts highlight her versatility as an artist and her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on society.
