The Grand Moment

The night of February 2, 2024, is etched in Manisha Rani’s best memories for life. She was declared the winner of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’s 11th season on Saturday night. The digital creator won a prize money of Rs 30 lakh and her choreographer Ashutosh received a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh. The duo also won a grand trip to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The bubbly, relatable and real digital star made a place in the hearts of the judges – Arshad Warsi, Farah Khan and Malaika Arora – and the audience at large.

Apart from Manisha, the top four finalists of the dance reality show included popular TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim, playback singer and ‘Indian Idol 5‘ winner Sreerama Chandra, actor Adrija Sinha and social media influencer and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal‘s wife Dhanashree Verma. Aired on Sony Television, the finale episode was graced by the cast of ‘Murder Mubarak‘ – Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Verma, and Sanjay Kapoor.

Expressing how it’s been learning under Ashutosh, Manisha shared “I am grateful to Ashutosh, who has been very understanding and, each week, he has pushed me to broaden my horizon and discover new facets of my dancing abilities. This win is not just mine; it belongs to everyone who believed in me and supported me throughout this journey.

On Being A Wildcard Contestant

It’s the first time in the history of this dance reality show that a wildcard contestant has won. The show had  4 wild-card entries on the New Year special episode. Digital celebrities like Manisha RaniAwez DarbarDhanashree Vermaand Nikhita Gandhi entered the show as wild card contestants to compete with the existing ones. There were times when Rani wanted to give up but that hunger to win the trophy kept her going.

Earlier I used to think that since I came in as a wild card, I might not win. By the time we join the show, half the season has passed, and people have made their mark already. But if in little time you can do what others were not able to do from the start, then you can win. Hard work is the key. I experimented with various dance forms in my journey, and I got very little time to prove myself, but I am glad I did” said Manisha.

What’s Next For Manisha

Having made her mark on social media and reality TV, Manisha Rani is now eyeing a career in Bollywood. She plans to work harder and learn acting. “I have always wanted to work with Salman Khan and Kartik Aaryan. Shahid Kapoor is my favourite actor. So I would love to share the screen with them” shared the winner.

Manisha Rani also shared a heartwarming vlog on her YouTube channel. She shared glimpses of her Jhalak journey and documented her preparation for the show’s Grand Finale. Rani also showcased the winning moment, the celebrations to follow, and what it was like bringing the coveted trophy back home in her vlog.

In a heartwarming move, Manisha Rani sponsored education for 11 girls in November. She plans to use the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 prize money in a similar way to support people. We are so happy for Manisha and look forward to many more victories in her name!
