Netflix, the world’s largest OTT platform has joined hands with the PGA TOUR and golf’s major championships for making a detailed documentary series which will encapsulate the lives and stories of professional golfers “across a season of high-stakes competition.”
The documentary will be brought to the viewers by Vox Media Studios and Box to Box films, the producers of the renowned Netflix documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
Vox Media Studios is an independent studio producing premium non-fiction and scripted programming for television, OTT, podcasts, films, and brand partners. The studio is an Emmy winning production studio that works both independently and in partnership with Vox Media’s category-leading editorial networks and even extends the company’s storytelling capabilities to the most relevant modern platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, YouTube Originals, HBO, and CNN.
Box to Box Films is a London based award winning production company. At Box To Box Films the storytelling is thoughtful, insightful and challenges the norms of the traditional documentary format. Box To Box Films is helmed by Academy Award®-winning producer James Gay-Rees and BAFTA-nominated producer Paul Martin.
The PGA TOUR and the governing bodies that conduct men’s major championship will for the first time provide entry into the sport’s biggest events that include THE PLAYERS Championship and season ending FedExCup, along with the four majors the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship and The Open. With an open access “inside the ropes and behind the scenes, the series will capture the intensity of training, travel, victory, and defeat through the lens of a diverse group of players and their support teams.”
Presently, PGA TOUR player commitments include: Abraham Ancer, Daniel Berger, Cameron Champ, Joel Dahmen, Tony Finau, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia, Harry Higgs, Max Homa, Viktor Hovland, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa, Kevin Na, Mito Pereira, Ian Poulter, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Bubba Watson.

Produced by Vox Media Studios and Box To Box Films, the filming for this exclusive documentary series is already underway and will go on throughout 2022.
