Our favourite and most inspiring creator-actor and UNDP India’s first Youth Climate Champion, Prajakta Koli a.k.a. MostlySane is in NYC as an India Representative at Climate Week 2024. She has been attending and participating in a series of high-profile events, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops.
Climate Group hosts an official program across a week that brings together the most senior international figures from business, government, civil society and the climate sector. This year, Climate Week NYC was held from September 22-29, 2024. It takes place in conjunction with the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
Prajakta shared her vision for a youth-led climate revolution while inspiring others to join the cause and forging partnerships with key stakeholders. With a combined following of 17 Million+ across social media, Prajakta Koli aims to unite young people worldwide in a collective effort to combat climate change and present climate solutions.

MostlySane’s Climate Week Agenda
A key highlight of her agenda was her featured speaker sessions at the SDG panel at UN Headquarters discussing media influence and sustainable development, Solutions House Creator Panel, Goals House Breakfast Roundtable, Hope House Roundtable, and Verified Roundtable. In addition to these, she also attended key events like the Summit Of The Future, the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, and the L’Oreal Climate Event.
Day 1/4
Prajakta’s first day in New York City started with an interesting interaction followed by a Google UN Reception. After savouring steaming dumplings and noodles, she headed for a YouTube Creator Delegation and attended an event on ‘AI in Action: Accelerating Progress Towards the Sustainable Development Goals.’
Day 2/4
MostlySane’s second day at Climate Week’24 began by running into Nikhil Taneja, a fellow UN Goalkeeper. This was hands down her favourite day because she met Danish actor and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, known for his role as Jamie in the widely loved series Game of Thrones.
She blushed hard while talking to Nikolaj when they were shooting for her YouTube channel. They discussed how he uses storytelling to advance conversations about climate action. “He is so passionate about the cause, it’s really inspiring,” said Prajakta in an interview with Hindustan Times.
She then grabbed lunch with UN Official Brendan Verma, went on to have a fun evening with her fellow UN Goalkeepers, and was elated to meet Dr. Adanna.
Day 3/4
Day 3 started as a chaotic morning for Prajakta but then she happened to stand next to Benedict Cumberbatch at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum so it was all good (I’m so jealous!!). Koli then headed to The Nest Climate Campus to have a conversation with ‘We Don’t Have Time‘ on her views and efforts for climate action and engaging the youth for this movement.
She was also a panellist on the Solution House Creator Panel: ‘Meet the YouTube Creators Democratizing Access to Climate Information‘ alongside YouTubers like Mark Vins and Max Klymenko, and C-Suite professionals such as Kate Brandt and Alice Aedy.
Next, the superwoman landed at the Summit Of The Future, spoke at the SDG Media Zone Conversations panel and interacted with other SDGs there.
Day 4/4
On her last day at Climate Week 2024, Prajakta packed up and bid adieu to the gorgeous NYC view and room. She then headed for the Goals House Breakfast Roundtable as one of the speakers to speak on the topic, ‘Talking About the Weather Is No Small Talk.’ Next, she had another panel discussion to speak at – Solution House’s Creator Panel ‘Meet The YouTube Creators Inspiring Climate Optimism.‘ Simone Giertz, Fisayo Fosudo, and Liah Yoo were the creators who joined Prajakta and Kate Brandt, CSO, Google, at the session.
This woman is so inspirational just through her sheer will to give back as much as possible to her community. I still don’t know how she manages to be at 10 places in a day! Right after she wrapped up her Climate Week engagements, Prajakta flew down to Delhi to perform 2 shows of her play ‘External Affairs!’ The best part about her is that she has never taken her success and position lightly while always striving to do better. Take a bow, queen!
