WhatsApp To Redesign Its Notifications On iOS

WhatsApp has released the 2.21.140.9 beta update, which has now brought the view once feature for all beta testers.  We previously covered “WhatsApp To Release “View Once” For Photos & Videos“.  Click here to know more. In addition to that the update also brings something else new, which is Redesigned In-App Notifications On iOS. The new 2.21.140.9 beta update will now allow users see more details in the notification banner, so images, videos, GIFs and stickers

According to WABetaInfo: “The user can now expand the in-app notification in order to show the chat preview: the chat preview is not static like the one that appears when you peek on a chat cell, so the user can scroll up and down the view to see older and newer messages. When you read messages from the chat preview, read receipts aren’t updated: WhatsApp will notify the recipient that you have read their messages when you open the chat normally or when you reply from the chat preview.“

The new version of in-app notifications is already available for all the iOS beta users.
