Only a true Roadies fan will understand our excitement and anxiety when they recently released the theme of their latest season – Karm Ya Kaand. From simping over Rannvijay Singha to engaging in debates over Raghu and Rajiv’s behaviour towards the contestants, we have all come a long way. As fans, we have accepted the changes in the plot of the youth-based reality TV show that first rocked the nation in 2003 with its unique narrative and adventurous tasks.
If you are just as intrigued as we are about MTV Roadies Season 19 and all the other deets of the latest season, here’s what will either make you smile or frown. The newest gang leader to join Prince Narula and Gautam Gulati is Rhea Chakraborty.
The actress who kickstarted her career with the same channel in a show called Wassup is now returning back to the channel in a feisty avatar. While her fans and friends from the industry are showering her with compliments and wishing her the very best, many are not too happy with Rhea being a part of their favourite reality show.
The teaser shows her climbing down a rope and saying, “Aapko kya laga, main waapas nahi aaungi? Dar jaaungi?” The one-liner is a response to all those who thought she would shy away from the limelight following the death of her ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput.
She takes a pause after delivering this impactful dialogue and says, “Darne ki baari kisi aur ki hai. Milte hai auditions pe.” Friends like VJ Anusha, Aparshakti Khurana, Patralekha and her rumoured boyfriend Bunty Sajdeh’s sister – Seema Sajdeh, have reacted to her post wishing the actress luck and more power.
Users are sending mixed messages while there are a few who commend Rhea for her resilience and courage, there are a few others who are not too happy with her inclusion in the show and trolling her.
While we can only wait and watch what the actress brings to the show, we would really want to see her with a fresh and fierce look. We can’t wait to watch how she adds drama by ensuring her gang members are given all that they deserve and fight for them.
Talking about her role in the show, Rhea said, “I am thrilled to be a part of MTV Roadies Season 19, which is an iconic cultural phenomenon. Working with MTV feels like a homecoming. I look forward to working with Sonu Sood and my fellow gang leaders, as I get to showcase my resolute and fearless side during this thrilling journey. I hope to receive love and support from fans for this incredible new adventure!”
Whether you are Team Yay or Team Meh, one thing is certain you wouldn’t want to miss the drama that’s about to unfold on the show. Stay tuned for many more updates about your favourite shows here!
