There are those in the field of entrepreneurship who not only have a passion for their work but also have the foresight and tenacity to make their ideas come true. Young and dynamic businesswoman Saloni Kukreja is a prime illustration of this attitude. Saloni is making waves in the food industry with her new business, Indu Icecream, and winning over ice cream lovers with her inventive and mouthwatering creations.
Saloni Kukreja is a budding businesswoman who has carved out her own niche in the food sector. She started out on her journey as an enthusiastic home cook and food aficionado, documenting her culinary endeavors on websites like Instagram and YouTube. She immediately gathered a devoted following of food enthusiasts who eagerly anticipated her next invention thanks to her delectable recipes and her enthusiasm.
With her growing popularity and unwavering dedication to her craft, Saloni decided to take her culinary journey to the next level. She ventured into the realm of frozen delights, and thus, Indu Icecream was born. Indu Icecream pays homage to the flavors and traditions of Saloni’s heritage, infusing them with a modern twist.

The unwavering dedication of Saloni to using premium, natural ingredients is what distinguishes Indu Icecream from the competition. Each batch of ice cream is lovingly made one set at a time, guaranteeing a rich and decadent experience with each scoop. Indu Icecream offers a variety of possibilities to titillate taste buds and sate desires, from traditional flavors like chocolate and vanilla to more daring combinations like masala chai and rose cardamom.
Beyond the flavors themselves, Saloni is devoted to authenticity. She places a lot of focus on keeping her company’s practices moral and ethical. Whenever feasible, Indu Icecream purchases its products from local vendors in an effort to reduce its negative environmental impact.
The company also uses eco-friendly packaging. This dedication to sustainability appeals to the ethical consumer, who searches for enjoyable and moral experiences.
In a conversation with Social Nation, she told us what gave birth to Indu and what makes it different for her.
At an early age, ever since I learned about the concept of entrepreneurship – it’s the only thing that excited me as much as the food did. Being able to create content full-time- definitely gave me that confidence and push to start Indu Ice Cream. Ice cream specifically because- from all the food memories I have as a child eating ice cream and even the first time I ate gelato it really stayed with me. Experiencing those sensations, flavors, and textures is vividly etched in my memory. I wanted to create a product that is new & refreshing yet somewhat familiar and nostalgic. We chose the name Indu ice cream because the whole idea of the brand is to fuse flavors of India into ice cream. It’s linking back to the roots & heritage of India.
The response has been incredible! I think people are really enjoying the flavors since it’s something familiar to them yet so refreshing! I definitely want to do more flavors and more formats of ice cream. My idea for the future is to directly work with farmers in India and showcase unique products- coffee, chocolate, fresh fruit, etc through ice cream. We currently have a set delivery radius for the ice cream from our delivery kitchen- hoping to expand to other parts of the city and hopefully the country!
It’s so difficult to choose one! I think every flavor is so unique and it depends on my mood which I would pick. But one of my all-time favorites is the Mango Shrikhand. The flavors are really fresh and bright. It’s the perfect balance between the tartness from the Shrikhand and freshness from Alphonso mangoes- it’s finished with a mango saffron swirl and chopped pistachios!
The flavors from Saloni’s kitchen have really got me drooling and I can’t wait to really try out the amazing combinations that she has put up. Do check out her content and try the amazing recipes that she posts.
