Let’s start by giving a quick recap of day three, a post-lunch enjoyable day of learning sessions conducted by the leading post-production experts and comedy creator that our lovely residents got to experience personally at the Social Nation Residency Programme.
The mentor spilled the beans today on every element that is necessary for coming up with original crazy ideas and dealing with post-production techniques.
The people behind the edits and creativity are usually unsung heroes. Our creators got a chance to know about the magic of post-production by Sid Gandhi AKA TooSid, Visual Artist; Mayur Jumani, Music producer and creator, and Ravi Chellaramani, Head of Post Production at One Digital Entertainment shared how “It’s a wrap” marks the beginning of the post-production journey!
Post-production is considered a highly collaborative process that entails a mixture of all fields such as cutting raw footage, accumulating that footage, adding music, creating visually appealing video, sound mix, dubbing, sound effects, and VFX.
Mentors provided guidance on a variety of post-production techniques, including role authenticity, when working with a small crew.
The mentors addressed the creators about the visual aesthetic, its distinctiveness, the considerations to keep in mind, and how to develop it.
Tips on how to keep the connection between the creator and the post-production crew strong and how to use their social media profiles to expand their portfolio for freelancing.
Creator and actor Viraj Ghelani talked about how it might seem like all fun and games to be a creator, but in reality, when it comes to brainstorming, it takes a lot of work to come up with a crazy content concept.
He talked about how we don’t always have it easy when it comes to writing relatable content, but it shouldn’t ever be a cause for discouragement. He spoke about the importance of using emotions while creating content and how to do so in a way that keeps the audience engaged.
He mentored the creators to acquire the right attitude, emphasizing self-confidence, perseverance, and the ability to recognize between successful and unsuccessful days. Acknowledging the peculiar nature of authenticity and the significance of releasing their responsibility as a creator.
