Viraj Ghelani: From Gujju “Snakes” to Snackible Stardom

Viraj Ghelani – From Gujju “Snakes” to Snackible Content, This Man Does It All

Chill vibes only, because Viraj Ghelani is rewriting the script on what it means to be a content creator, actor, and stand-up legend – all with a signature dash of Gujarati humour and Gen-Z appeal.

1. Snack-ible Content That Hits Home

Viraj’s content is a vibe – funny, relatable, and 100% rooted in Gujju life. His reels often feature playful takes on “Guju snakes” (you know, those iconic snack faves), household absurdities, and family chaos. Think stories of Swati didi missing the “lacchedar rotla,” or trying to dodge mom’s relentless “why not married yet?” questions. It all feels so familiar, it’s like watching your own group chat come to life- except ten times funnier.

2. From Social Reels to Reel Life (No Auditions Needed!)

Here’s the twist: Viraj didn’t land acting roles through auditions. Nope. He hustled through social media antics. As he shared, he once told his Borivali-Kandivali-Malad buddies to “spot me and comment ‘here for Viraj’ whenever you see me in a video.” That engagement bonanza caught FilterCopy’s eye, and soon, he was starring in skits – even learning on set by doing everything from acting to being a spot-boy.

His content wins hearts – so much so that filmmakers started calling. He scored a cameo in Govinda Naam Mera and went on to star in the lead role of the Gujarati horror-comedy Jhamkudi.

3. Stand-Up Took 0–100 in 5 Months – and Went Global

May 2024: Viraj made his stand-up debut. Fast forward just five months, and he’s touring That’s So Viraj across Australia and the UK. No biggie, right? But wait – he ALSO sold out TWO shows at Mumbai’s Royal Opera House in under an hour. Yeah, you read that right.

Also, he became the first Gujarati comedian to perform at the prestigious NMACC in Mumbai. The first show sold out, and public demand prompted the addition of a second. Legit legend status.

4. What’s sauce?

1. Relatability – His humor is grounded in everyday Gujarati life. Yes, even the munching-on-snacks moments.

2. Consistency – Started with reels, scrappy edits, jokes – then built up writing, timing, set skills. It’s that “grind quietly, let results do the talking” energy.

3. Audience Love – Fans fueled his rise. Their comments, tags, and hype turned into sold-out shows.

4. Clean, Family-Friendly Vibe – His comedy is safe to share with your nani – and she’ll probably LOL.

5. What’s Next?

Viraj’s dream venues? Madison Square Garden? Yes, please. But closer home, he wants to fill up Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With his momentum and content-style, honestly? You won’t be surprised if he pulls it off.

Why Viraj Ghelani Is Your Next Fave

Viraj is living proof that genuine storytelling + relentless hustle + cultural roots = the ultimate glow-up. So if you haven’t dropped a follow yet… you know what to do.

Diya Bhansali

Hi, I’m Diya - a 23-year-old writer, chai girl, and full-time Gen-Z hustler from Jaipur (aka Gulabi Nagri) who’s slowly but surely making Mumbai happen. I started off as a freelance writer and somewhere along the way, fell headfirst into the world of creators, influencers, and the chaotic magic of the internet. Passion’s always been my north star - everything else just follows. If I’m not writing, I’m probably overthinking a caption, romanticising a trend, or sending memes at odd hours. You’ll find a little humour, a little heart, and a lot of scroll-stopping pop culture in everything I write.
