The Diplomat is Netflix’s most recent entry into the oversaturated OTT entertainment market. But this new entry from Debora Cahn (who was previously visible in the credits of Homeland) stands out from the crowd of others vying for attention.
This eight-episode political drama, which focuses on the complexities of diplomacy, state, relationships, and sexism, is arguably the best program to debut recently. The witty series circles in the middle of a political and relationship drama following a husband and wife’s dynamic but communicates much more with its pure knowledge and well-researched subject matter.

However, since she keeps waking up on the same day, she must figure out the answer to leave the past behind and go on to the present. She learns from her mistakes as she navigates her new environment and comes to the conclusion that changing the past might not necessarily lead to a better present.
