Instagram continues to work on improving its interface by adding new features and some modifications to its existing interface. Today we will be talking about Instagram’s new work in progress on its stories section with ‘longer stories’ and updates to the ‘story editor.’
It is well known that the stories posted on the Instagram app last for 15 seconds. Anything longer than that duration splits into more videos. Hopefully this might not be the case in the future. Popular developer Alessandro Paluzzi on his twitter shared images of the possibility to post videos up to 60 seconds long!
The longer stories update may even be expanded to WhatsApp statuses but so far there is no confirmation from Instagram yet, regarding this update and its official rollout for everyone or the beta testers..
Instagram is working for an undo option in the story editor. This new user interface will allow users to undo and redo any edits. This new feature is different from the undo option in the brush tool and it will allow users to undo or redo any action in the story. Alessandro Paluzzi shared images and a short video showing how the feature will work.
Just like the longer stories feature, this feature too is a WIP (work in progress) and we have to wait until Instagram officially comes out with an update.
