Instagram is working on adding more features to its user interface in order to assist its users. This time Instagram is working on features for both desktop and mobile versions. In latest updates it has been reported that Instagram is working on a video trim option for the website and for mobile phones it is working on grouping saved reels.
Instagram will soon allow users to trim videos via the Instagram desktop website itself. Popular app developer Alessandro Paluzzi on his twitter shared images of what the feature will look like when released.
From the images it looks like Instagram will provide an option to enter the start and end timestamps along with a “Video Has No Audio” toggle.
Instagram is working on grouping saved reels and making them accessible in a dedicated tab. Alessandro Paluzzi on his twitter shared images of this feature too.
From the images it can be seen that the dedicated tab will have a section reserved for saved reels.
With these new features it is a possible understanding that Instagram is focusing on making its desktop version more user friendly. Previously it had announced that it will soon allow users to create posts from the desktop. (Click Here for more details)
Furthermore Instagram was also reported to be working upon possibility to access the reels tab via web (desktop version)
However both the new features are under work in progress (WIP) and so far there is no information from Instagram about their official roll out.
