Svetha Yallapragada Rao popularly known as Raja Kumari needs no introduction as she is the queen of the Hip-Hop Industry.
The buzz maker Indian-American songwriter, rapper, and recording artist and to add more feathers to her achievements Kumari is also Grammy Nominated. Kumari is best known for her collaboration with Indian artists as well as a global artist. The partnership has mutually benefited in raising the strides in the music industry bagging her videos to get million-plus views.
Born and brought up in Claremont, California, she still carries the Indian essence by adding additional flavor to her outfits with Bindi’s, bangles to braids.

Kumari took the initiative towards her dancing from the age of 7 years as a Trained Indian Classical Dancer where her expertise lies in Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi. Her first performance was when she was 7 years old and the chief guest was shown as Pandit Ravi Shankar.
And later in her schooling life, she discovered Hip-Hop music where she developed her interest and started working as a freestyle artist. Art and religion have played a major role in her life incorporating from her childhood days. She feels the need to bring about a system for musicians in India similar to that in LA.
Raja has been the most talk-of-the-town rapper after her latest song, which was a tribute to Indian culture and heritage featuring Madhuri Dixit Nene and Alisha Chinai’s 1995 chartbuster “Made in India“.
While we can’t thank Alisha enough for this beautiful song, it won’t be wrong to say that Raja has done absolute justice with the new song.
Besides the song is a treat to everyone’s ears, the music video is a spectacular visual representation of our graceful Indian culture. And Kumari slays the music video by wearing a beautiful beige lengha with floral embroidered on it and paired it along with white sneakers. And to everyone’s surprise, Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit made a special appearance in the video wearing a gorgeous golden dress and looking amazingly breathtaking as always.

Before releasing the song, Raja Kumari had shared how working with Madhuri was a dream come true for her. She wrote on Instagram, “For me…MD has and will always be the epitome of Indian style, beauty, and grace.
