A Look Inside The SU7

The Xiaomi SU7 has been launched in 9 colours. During the MWC held in Barcelona last month, Xiaomi had shown three colour options for the car. Now, they have added 6 more options. The SU7 comes equipped with a 220kW rear-wheel drive motor. What’s worth noticing is the E-motor HyperEngine V8s, showcasing a maximum motor speed of 27,200 rpm, delivering a robust 425kW output and a peak torque of 635Nm.

Xiaomi had earlier said that this set a global record for E-motors, propelling the car from 0-100kmph in a mere 5.3 seconds. Meanwhile, the fastest version of the car claims to zoom from zero to a hundred kilometres per hour in just 2.78 seconds, reaching a top speed of 265 kilometres per hour. The car also comes with dual motors packing 637 horsepower and 838 newton metres of turbo power.

Design

Coming to the design of the Xiaomi SU7, it is built on an 800-volt architecture, similar to Tesla’s Cybertruck. The eye-catching design features include sleek water drop headlights, halo tail lights, and a cool hidden door handle. As you enter, you’ll find a futuristic cockpit with multiple screens and high-tech features. The car runs on Xiaomi’s Hyper OS, which connects seamlessly with the company’s other devices like phones and tablets.

Range

Now, let’s discuss the range aspect. Depending on the specific model, the range varies from 700 to 900 kilometres on a single charge. The standard model provides a range of 700 kilometres, while the SU7 Pro offers an increased range of 830 kilometres. The top-tier SU7 Max impressively boasts nearly 900 kilometres of range.

In terms of autonomous driving capabilities, the SU7 comes with features such as Adaptive BEV Technology, Road-Mapping Foundational Model, and Super-Res Occupancy Network Technology. The EV’s hardware is powered by two NVIDIA Orin high-performance chips.

Delving into the technical details, the SU7 comes with advanced hardware including LiDAR, eleven high-definition cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, and twelve ultrasonic radars. Inside, it features a 16.1-inch 3K central console, a 7.1-inch rotating dashboard, and a 56-inch heads-up display (HUD). Additionally, for passenger convenience, there are provisions to mount two tablets on the rear seats.

The Pricing

The standard version of the car, as shared by Lei Jun, costs 215,900 yuan (Rs 24 lakh approx) in China. In addition to this, the car’s Pro and Max versions will be priced at 245,900 and 2,99,900 yuan (Rs 35 lakh approx) respectively.
