But when something totally unexpected gets announced, it takes the internet by storm. And that’s what happened yesterday when the poster for the movie “Thank You For Coming” dropped on social media.
Starting with a tease of the film’s first look captioned “The ComeBACK of the chick flick“, the makers then treated fans to multiple posters showcasing the core cast. With ‘Rise, Rebel, Repeat‘ as the tagline, this movie is termed the biggest chick flick of the year. The highlight of “Thank You For Coming” is that along with stars like Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill, it features some of the biggest content creators like Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Shibani Bedi, Sushant Divgikr and more.

The Cast And Crew
The Indian Film Industry was long in need of a classic chick flick. And “Thank You For Coming” promises to be just that and more with the stunning star-cast that they have. But that’s not it, the movie is set to premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2023. The film is produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Limited and Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network Pvt Ltd. It is directed by Rhea Kapoor‘s husband Karan Boolani and written by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh. “Thank You for Coming” also stars Pradhuman Singh Mall, Natasha Rastogi, Gautmik, Saloni Daini, Dolly Ahluwalia and Karan Kundrra. It also has a special appearance by Anil Kapoor.

The 48th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will take place from 7th to 17th September, 2023. The festival will feature a lineup of over 300 films from around the world, including world premieres, international premieres, and North American premieres. Known for its diverse lineup of films, the festival attracts a large audience of film lovers from all over the world. “Thank You for Coming” happens to be one of the prestigious movies to feature at TIFF 2023.

Producer Rhea Kapoor took to Instagram to share a poster of her film and announced that it will premiere at Toronto International Film Festival this year. She wrote, “Crying and screaming and jumping! We are honoured to unveil our film #ThankYouForComing as an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023!! See you at our gala premiere! #ThankYouForComingAtTIFF.”
Ektaa Kapoor added “I am genuinely thrilled to announce that our film is set to grace the esteemed TIFF platform. This project holds a special place in my heart, and I am eagerly anticipating the moment when I can present it to a discerning global audience. The opportunity to be part of such a prestigious festival is an absolute honour, and I am awaiting the feedback and reception it garners.”
Talking about the movie, Rhea said, “It is a film for this generation and we feel extremely honoured to have the world premiere of our film at TIFF 2023. Even with its unconventional storyline and bold point of view, this movie is an out-and-out Bollywood entertainer, full of masti and music so it makes this selection that much sweeter. It is a film I am extremely proud of and we couldn’t have asked for a better kick-start. I’ve had the privilege to work with the most talented group of girls that have put their heart and soul into making this movie and we can not wait for the world to see what we have made.”

All the posters give out a super fun, quirky and chic vibe with all the female leads dressed in strikingly ornate outfits. The looks scream chaotic and rebellious at best.
