Netflix is one of those streaming platforms where most creators and celebrities want to get featured as an actor. In the last few Netflix has made itself a platform that is a go-to for the audiences and if someone has done a Netflix original series or movie, it is their big break.

There are celebrities and creators who became famous after they did a movie or web series with Netflix. And then there are some celebs who came to this OTT screen after being established on the big screen. While there are many from the big screen who have now featured on OTTs, we’re featuring a few of them who made it to Netflix.

Alia Bhatt: Darlings

The actress famous for her acting and dialogues for various movies is finally going to debut on Netflix with an original movie. Darlings is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language black comedy-drama film co-written and directed by Jasmeet K Reen, in her directorial debut, from a screenplay by Parveez Sheikh, and produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma under the banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film stars Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles. This also happens to be Alia’s debut as a producer. It is scheduled to release on Netflix, on 5 August 2022. The teaser for the movie is out now.

Saif Ali Khan: Sacred Games

When Saif Ali Khan made it to Netflix’s web series Sacred Games, it was an entertaining watch for the audience as they were seeing the famous actor on OTT. The plus points were his acting and the plot of the show. Sacred Games is an Indian neo-noir crime thriller streaming television series based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel of the same name. It was also India’s first Netflix original series, it was produced and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap as Phantom Films. The novel was adapted by Varun Grover, Smita Singh, and Vasant Nath. Saif Ali Khan was a troubled police officer in the show as Sartaj Singh.

Taspsee: Looop Lapeta

Taapsee made her debut with Haseen Dilruba on the platform and her second film came Looop Lapeta which is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language comedy thriller film directed by Aakash Bhatia and jointly produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Aayush Maheshwari. An official adaptation of the award-winning German film Run Lola Run by Tom Tykwer, the film stars Taapsee Pannu , Gaurav Pareek and Tahir Raj Bhasin in the lead roles. It is a love story that has drama and thrill.

The film premiered on 4 February 2022 on Netflix.

Ranveer Singh: Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls

The OTT platform has come up with the new show titled ‘Ranveer vs Wild with Bear Grylls‘. The show’s new teaser was unveiled on June 10th. The big thing about the show is its lead protagonist- Ranveer Singh. The actor is seen being chased by a bear, using a grappling gun, using flares, while crossing a jungle with adventure junkie Bear Grylls.

The show is releasing on 8th July on Netflix.

Kajol: Tribhanga

Tribhanga: Tedhi Medhi Crazy is a 2021 Indian trilingual family drama film written and directed by Renuka Shahane. It was co-produced by Ajay Devgn, Deepak Dhar, and Siddharth P. Malhotra under their production companies Ajay Devgn FFilms, Banijay Asia, and Alchemy Productions. The film stars Kajol, Tanvi Azmi, and Mithila Palkar, and revolves around a dysfunctional family of three women and their unconventional life choices. Released on 15 January 2021, the film marked Kajol’s debut on Netflix.

Emraan Hashmi: Bard of Blood

Bard of Blood is an Indian spy thriller streaming television series based on the 2015 espionage novel of the same name by Bilal Siddiqi. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series stars Emraan Hashmi along with Kirti Kulhari, Vineet Kumar Singh, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sobhita Dhulipala. It is a seven-episode series that revolves around the story of an ex-IIW agent. The series premiered on 27 September 2019 on Netflix. This was Emraan’s debut movie.
