Fans are often curious to know how their stars feel like, look like and are like outside the camera. Social media to a large extent has been able to give this sneak peek into the life of stars but these also sometimes end up being Plandids, leaving fans yearning for more. BTS, the global sensation, has gone above and beyond to set the stage for an intimate portrayal of their journey through an upcoming documentary series titled ‘BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star.‘ The announcement came alongside an emotional teaser, providing a glimpse into the narratives of the seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
The highly anticipated documentary is scheduled for release on Disney+, with the first two episodes premiering on December 20, 2023, followed by subsequent releases on December 27, 2023, January 3, 2024, and January 10, 2024, each comprising two episodes. BTS enthusiasts worldwide can mark their calendars for this immersive journey into the band’s past, present, and future.
The documentary promises a real and honest depiction of BTS’s illustrious 10-year journey in the music industry and how these rising stars feel about it. As the group celebrates their 10th anniversary, the members reflect on their past, sharing heartfelt stories that are a mark of their affection and their growth.
The teaser was unveiled on the Bangtan TV official YouTube channel. The fans could not contain their excitement and were almost teary eyed at the information. The most heartfelt part of the trailer release were the heartfelt snippets of individual members, reflecting back on their journey.
While all the members of BTS collectively expressed gratitude for the love they have received, each of them strongly spoke about how they felt creating the music they did. For us the standout partwas these handsome boys expressing their emotion while watching the documentary. J-Hope very adorably expressed, “I felt each and every emotion.” While Jimin got emotional, confessing, “I started crying.” V on the other hand admitted laughing, stating, “I laughed and laughed and laughed.” However, all of them together believed, ‘They did it!”
While three BTS boys, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, have enrolled themselves for their mandatory military service, others including RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, are set to follow suit, with their specific enlistment dates yet to be announced. In line with South Korea’s laws, able-bodied men aged 18-28 are obligated to serve approximately two years in the military.
Despite the impending individual service and music commitments, BTS remains committed to their collective journey. They plan to hopefully reunite as a complete unit approximately in the year 2025 following their military service, creating hope and anticipation among their devoted fanbase.
The upcoming documentary ‘BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star’ is surely going to offer a real, unfiltered and genuine narrative, inviting viewers into the untold chapters of BTS’s unparalleled saga.
