AI models are now helping people get everything right- from their work to landing the latest and best things, jobs, and everything in life. The AI isn’t just helping with easy prompts but now also with coding. Yes, while this was only possible with ChatGPT earlier, now Google Bard is also providing the ability to code with just a few prompts and instructions.

“Since we launched Bard, our experiment that lets you collaborate with generative AI, coding has been one of the top requests we’ve received from our users. As a product lead in Google Research — and a passionate engineer who still programs every day — I’m excited that today we’re updating Bard to include that capability.”, wrote Paige Bailey who is Group Product Manager, Google Research, on a Google blog.

“Starting now, Bard can help with programming and software development tasks, including code generation, debugging and code explanation. We’re launching these capabilities in more than 20 programming languages including C++, Go, Java, Javascript, Python and Typescript. And you can easily export Python code to Google Colab — no copy and paste required. Bard can also assist with writing functions for Google Sheets.”, mentioned the announcement.

Bard can help you understand code snippets in addition to producing code. This is especially useful if you’re just starting to learn to program or if you need some extra aid to comprehend what a block of code might produce.

Even code that Bard authored can be debugged with the aid of Bard. Simply tell Bard, “This code didn’t work, please fix it,” and Bard will assist you in the debugging process if he provides you with an error message or code that deviates from what you meant.

Bard is still a young experiment, therefore it occasionally gives out confidently presented information that is erroneous, deceptive, or false. When it comes to coding, Bard could provide you with functional code that doesn’t result in the desired result or give you insufficient or subpar code. Before trusting on code, always double-check Bard’s responses and thoroughly test and examine them for flaws. In spite of these difficulties, they think that Bard’s new capabilities can benefit you by providing fresh approaches to writing code, developing test cases, or updating APIs. If Bard makes extensive use of an open-source project that already exists, it will cite the original work.

Bard frequently enables you to optimize your code by making it quicker or more effective. With everyday chores like creating presentations and lesson plans, coming up with new recipes, or organizing an exercise schedule, Bard is already assisting individuals. With improved coding abilities, we’re eager to use generative AI to quicken software creation, spur creativity, and aid in the resolution of challenging technical problems.
