Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a 2022 Indian biographicaldrama film written, produced, and directed by R. Madhavan in his directorial debut. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, played by Madhavan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was accused in the ISRO espionage case and later exonerated. The story spans Narayanan’s days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him.
The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
Masaba Masaba is an Indian biographical drama streaming television series based on the life of Masaba Gupta. It is written and directed by Sonam Nair and is produced by Ashvini Yardi’s Viniyard Films. It stars Masaba Gupta and her mother, Neena Gupta, playing themselves.
The series premiered on Netflix on 28 August 2020 and now Season 2 of the show is streaming on the platform.
Good Luck Jerry is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language comedy crime film directed by Sidharth Sengupta and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai, and Mahaveer Jain . The film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, alongside Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles. It is a remake of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila (2018). The film premiered on 29 July 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar.
19(1)(a) is a 2022 Indian Malayalam language drama film written and directed by debutant Indhu V.S. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nithya Menen, and Indrajith Sukumaran in lead roles. The film is produced by Anto Joseph and Neeta Pinto. The film marks Vijay Sethupathi’s debut, in a lead role in Malayalam, and his second Malayalam film after Marconi Mathai. The film was released directly on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on July 29, 2022.
