Instagram introduced Paid Partnership label for creators to retain transparency within the community, per Instagram Policies. It makes publishing branded content easy which is a great help to creators ‘cause paid partnerships are one of the straightforward monetizing ways. Paid Partnership Label & Its Importance
“As a creator, brands may offer you gifts or monetary compensation in exchange for promotional posts. The Paid Partnership label was designed to help you disclose your promotional content, encourage transparency within the community, and help creators comply with Instagram Policies.”
Using Paid Partnership Label
“The label can be used on Live, Reels, IGTV, Feed, and Stories.”
Confirming Eligibility
“If you find you are not eligible, you can request another account review in-app: account settings > creator or business > (depending on your account type) > branded content.”
Tagging Brands
- “After you’ve selected a photo or video, tap ‘Next’
- For Live, tap ‘Title’. For Reels & IGTV, tap ‘Advanced Settings’
- Toggle on ‘Add Paid Partnership Label’
- Tap ‘Add Brand Partners’ and select the brand you want to tag in your post.
- For Stories: After you’ve added a photo or video tap the link icon.
- Toggle on ‘Add Paid Partnership Label’
- Tap ‘Add Brand Partners’ to search for the brand
- Select the brand you want to tag in your story.”
Points to Note
“If the brand has not yet given tagging approval, you can still publish your branded content by tapping ‘Add Brand Partners’ > ‘Add’ (this will send a notification to the brand).
When your post is live, the ‘Paid Partnership’ label will appear at the top and the brand’s name will appear at the top and the brand’s name will appear once the brand approves.
If you’re partnering with a brand without a business profile, you can still use the Paid Partnership label by following the previous steps. When ready to publish, tap ‘Share’ > ‘Share Anyway’.”
