Everything You Need to Know About MOJ Superstar Hunt

With the completion of one year of MOJ on July 1, 2021, the short video-sharing platform announced the hunt for India’s next digital superstar. The auditions of ‘MOJ Superstar Hunt’ began on July 15, 2021, and will continue till August 14, 2021. The contest is based on five categories: Actors, Dancers, Comedians, Transition Artists, and Unique Talents. Later on due to the high demand for fashion and beauty, Transition Artists was upgraded to the category of Fashion and Beauty.

After the audition rounds end, the semi-finale will occur from August 17 to 22, 2021. The finale will be held from August 26 to 30, 2021. On August 31, 2021, the final winner will be chosen from the selected winners of the five mentioned categories. The winner of ‘MOJ Superstar Hunt’ will get prizes worth Rs. 10 lakh. Also, the remaining four winners will receive prizes worth Rs. 5 lakh. 

In the auditions, 50 candidates will be shortlisted every week. A total of 200 participants will proceed to the semi-finale, and each of them will receive a gift voucher of Rs. 1000. Oot of these 200 semi-finalists, only 25 of them will be competing in the finale. Each finalist will be receiving a gift voucher worth Rs. 10, 000. Btw, Awez Darbar is the host and Remo D’ Souza is the judge of ‘MOJ Superstar Hunt’. 

Apart from being a popular creator on social media, Awez is also a great dancer and choreographer. He has 5 million subscribers on YouTube and 9.8 million followers on Instagram. 

Remo is known for judging dance shows on Indian television like ‘Dance Plus’ and ‘Dance India Dance’ (DID). He’s a choreographer as well as a film director. He has 10.9 million followers on Instagram.

For this search of India’s digital superstar, eight mentors are selected for tips and guidance. The eight of them are quite popular themselves. In fact, there are nine ’cause there’s a pair of twins involved too. Curious about their names? Well, they’re none other than Arishfa Khan, Jannat Zubair, Riyaz Aly, Surabhi and Samriddhi, Mabu Sherif, Pranavi Manukonda, Akhil CJ, and Amrutha Saju.
