Five moments when Prajakta Koli made us proud!

The YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli has been the queen of her DumDums (her fan army) and has made fans from all over the world. The millennial star has 5 million followers on her Instagram handle and more than 6 million on her YouTube channel. She has been creating content on her YouTube for the last 8 years.

Apart from being a renowned YouTuber, this girl has also won hearts by being on the covers of magazines, working for social causes, and streaming on OTTs. The list of her achievements is a long one so here are her five major achievements (not in sequence) by us of this DumDum queen.

Working with Michelle Obama as a #CreatorsforChange

Prajakta is one of the most loved YouTubers from India and she has been working with YouTube as a #CreatorsforChange. Michelle Obama and the Girls Opportunity Alliance sit down with YouTube Creators Liza Koshy, Prajakta Koli, and Thembe Mahlaba to answer the question “what does it really mean to educate a girl?” She made a documentary and in the documentary, each creator travels to a different country to visit a grassroots organization working to improve the lives of girls in their community. Prajakta went to Lucknow to know more about how education is changing lives there.

Being on the advisory board as a Goalkeeper at the Gates foundation

Started by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Goalkeepers is a catalyst for action toward the goals of bringing together leaders from around the world to make progress toward ending poverty and fighting inequality. Goalkeepers are dedicated to accelerating progress toward the Global Goals: using powerful stories, data, and partnerships to highlight progress achieved, and bring together a diverse range of leaders to address the world’s major challenges. She was also invited by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for their annual Goalkeepers Summit in 2019. Prajakta is the chosen one this year from our country to take this forward.

Koli has loved being an extrovert since her college days and doesn’t shy away from being on the stage. She keeps adding feathers to her hat and some of them are awards. She won Star Influencer Award by Beautiful Indian 2022, an Emmy Award for the documentary Creators of Change’, and #GMA award for Grazia more.

UNDP India’s First Youth Climate Champion

This leading girl has become the first United Nations Development Programme India Youth Climate Champion. She was extremely humbled upon being selected as the first India Youth Champion and took it into her hands to be able to change lives by being the torch bearer. She is known for her contribution to mental health, women’s rights, and socially relevant youth-centric issues through various social campaigns.

Her debut in JugJugg Jeeyo

She has finally made it to the Films! Yess! Prajakta made her debut this month and it is big. She has played the role of Ginny alongside Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor. The girl has got a good screen space, and is seen doing what she loves- acting!

Prajakta, famously known as @mostlysane has released her short film, rap song, ‘No Offence’, ran campaigns for support of mental health, and has featured in the ‘30 Under 30’ issue of ‘Forbes India’ magazine and the ’35 Under 35’ article of ‘Entrepreneur’ magazine. She is known for being an active campaigner and raising her voice for issues where required.
